The Legal Department provides core legal support to all Dolby functions, runs several IP-centric businesses, and leads government relations.
Summary:
Dolby Laboratories is looking for a motivated intern, passionate about technology and processes, to join our Legal Operations team in San Francisco . Under the mentorship of Dolby's Legal Operations Manager, you will support the Legal Department's transformation by participating in technology implementation projects and process improvement initiatives .
Responsibilities:
- Provide general system implementation support to the Legal Operations team, including project management support and business analysis.
- Complete assignments that will help identify opportunities to drive efficiency and improve system processes to streamline the IP Transactions and Legal Affairs team's service delivery to the broader organization.
- Participate in collaborative problem solving with other departments including Sales, Procurement, IT, etc.
- Support policy development initiatives including knowledge articles, user guides, functional specifications, etc.
- Currently working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in graduation in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Management of Information Systems, or a related field preferred; or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation
- High level of curiosity and interest in understanding the operational functions, including processes and technology, of an IP Licensing business.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Takes initiative in day-to-day work as well as in seeking training opportunities.
- Demonstrates creative, data-driven problem-solving methods.
- Positive and professional attitude, including dependability and timeliness
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree ; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday - Friday for 3 months between September 2025 - December 2025.
