As the IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the operational support to maintain server footprint at Dolby, including enhancement and project activities related to our server infrastructure. We are seeking an individual with profound technical expertise in both Linux and Windows server environments, with very good hands-on experience in managing various types of servers in complex corporate settings, using AWS System Manager and VMware tools. You will actively work with multiple stakeholders around the globe on daily basis, therefore highly developed communication skills in English is a key to success in this role.

Reporting to the Manager, IT Global Infrastructure, this position is based in our Wroclaw, Poland office with extensive collaboration across regions.

Essential Expectations:
  • Server Management:
    • Provide support for various Linux and Windows Server distributions, including provisioning, patching, migrations, and decommissioning.
    • Exhibit end-to-end troubleshooting skills for servers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
    • Meet or beat service level commitments as defined by management.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for server administration.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Conduct regular performance analysis, implementing improvements to enhance server efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Project Management:
    • Independently manage minor projects, define deliverables, milestones, and coordinate resources to ensure timely and budget-conscious projects delivery.
    • Meet the project schedule, track of costs, identify and manage project risks, regurarly report the project status.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    • Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies.
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation for server configurations, migration plans, and operational procedures.
    • Implement and enforce security measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
    • Efficiently collaborate with globally distributed internal and external stakeholders, with main focus on understanding needs and driving solutions that bring high value with rational cost.
    • Provide senior-level support for IT service delivery, meeting service level commitments and compliance requirements.
    • Efficiently execute day-to-day operational tasks, as assigned, following ITIL-based standards.
    • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction during tasks execution and projects delivery.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education Required
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of exceptional technical proficiency in administration of Linux and Windows server environments, with various distributions, including their newest releases.
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS Management Console and its components (System Manager, Workspaces, EC2, Support, etc.) to efficiently manage servers.
  • Strong working knowledge of VMWare Enterprise products (ESXi, vCenter, vRops),
  • Background and working knowledge of networking, all types of servers hosting, virtualization, IP protocols, AD infrastructure.
  • Experience in writing scripts using Powershell desired.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes; ITIL Foundations certification is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow as platform supporting fulfillment of multiple ITIL-based operational processes, including Incident Management, Request Fulfillment, Change Enablement, Problem Management, and more.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Job Expectations
  • Travel for business as required.
  • Occasionally work during odd hours to support project go-lives or coordinate with team, member in other time zones for critical projects.
  • Performs duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
  • Assists team members as needed.
