As a Senior Safety Professional, you will be an important resource. You will drive the identification, assessment, analysis, and solving of a broad spectrum of safety issues across a diverse group at The Disneyland Resort.

  • You will work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Drive the implementation of safety programs, performing job task analysis, analyzing injury and illness trend data, evaluating safety performance, finding opportunities to improve safety performance
  • Lead and/or participate in incident investigations and follow-ups
  • Improve performance, review source material (rules, codes, laws, and standards) identify and share industry practices
  • Ensure implementation of applicable safety standards and established regulations
  • Manage relationships and work as part of a team within a matrix environment with all levels of leadership and employees
  • Engage and collaborate with global and local partners to drive and ensure consistency across The Disneyland Resort
  • Collaborate with Safety Professionals supporting the daily operation to ensure smooth project turnover between production and operation

Required Qualifications & Skills

Here’s what you need to be successful at this job:

  • 5+ years of occupational safety experience or relevant safety experience
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards
  • Experience with strategic thinking, prioritization, and initiation of tasks
  • Experience with proper writing, speaking, and presenting to all levels of employee
  • Resolve conflicts and diffuse difficult situations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the entertainment/hospitality industry
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education

  • Master’s Degree
  • CIH or CSP certification

The hiring range for this position in California is $103,500.00-$138,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
