The Senior Food Safety Professional will report to Manager, of Safety.
What Will You Do
On any given day, as a Senior Food Safety Professional, you might:
- Conducting data analysis and reviews, such as CHEFs, Alert Locations, and Safety Culture, while monitoring the corrective action plan system to ensure timely closure of reports for Steritech and OC Health. You’ll follow up with locations that are not in compliance and assist with location hierarchy and mapping requests as necessary.
- Accompanying regulatory inspections when required.
- Reviewing operational documents like Time as a Public Health Control (TPHC) for accuracy, with guidance from supervisory staff.
- Coordinating food item lab testing requests and interpreting results, providing recommendations for operational adjustments based on those findings.
- Assisting with reporting and investigations related to Foreign Object incidents.
- Participating in routine proactive walks through Food & Beverage and retail locations, including restaurants and cart setups.
- Engaging in ongoing resort projects focused on food safety, occupational safety, and environmental initiatives.
- Collaborating in cross-functional meetings to deepen knowledge in food safety and broaden the scope of our practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Here’s what you need to be successful at this job:
- 5+ years of food safety experience or relevant safety experience
- A Food Safety Manager Certification.
- Some relevant professional experience.
- A solid understanding of relevant regulatory standards, best practices, and internal company policies.
- A self-motivated, resourceful approach to problem-solving that transcends your immediate area of expertise.
- The ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, changing environment.
- Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Skills to handle conflicts and ease tense situations effectively.
- Strong consultative and influencing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the entertainment/hospitality industry
- Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS), and Certified Professional-Food Safety (CP-FS).

The hiring range for this position in California is $103,500.00-$138,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
