Team Description:
The Data Solutions group is part of the Enterprise Technology organization. We are responsible for architecting, developing and managing the data platforms, data integrations and reporting and analytics solutions for The Walt Disney Company’s enterprise business data. We are experts at architecting and building highly scalable data and analytics solutions that meet the business requirements of the groups across the company we support.
The Data Solutions team is part of Enterprise Technology. We are responsible for designing and developing enterprise solutions and managing a diverse portfolio of products and tools related to Data, Analytics and Automation used by business teams across The Walt Disney Company.
The Integration Architect position is one of the key architect roles on the team. You will have the opportunity to lead and influence the architecture of many complex and high-profile projects that will shape the future of data, reporting & analytics, AI and automation for The Walt Disney Company. This role is focused on data integrations across data sources systems, data lakehouses, and business applications in support of multiple data domains across the company including HR, Finance, Sourcing, Security and Legal.

Responsibilities of Role:
Architecting highly-scalable, distributed enterprise data solutions with focus on data integration
Designing and developing data integration solutions using common data integration best practices including: APIs, Messaging Bus, Pub-Sub, ETL

Designing and documenting architecture at multiple levels (high-level to detailed) and across multiple views (conceptual, logical, physical, data flow and sequence diagrams)
Providing active “hands-on” architectural guidance and leadership through the entire lifecycle of development projects
Translating business requirements into conceptual and detailed technology solutions
Collaborating closely with other architects and peers across the organization architecting and delivering solutions
Performing third-party vendor assessments
Developing and leading proof-of-concepts projects
Keeping fluent in industry and marketplace evolution; continuously learning new data technologies and introducing into the organization
Cross-training peers and mentoring junior teammates
Must Haves:
Minimum of 10 years of related work experience
Experience with GCP Dataflow and BigQuery is preferred
Experience with Informatica/IDMC is desirable
Expertise in data integration is preferred
Familiarity and working experience with common data integration patterns and processes including: ETL, APIs, Messaging Bus, Pub-Sub, flat files
Fluency architecting and documenting architecture at multiple levels (high-level to detailed) and across multiple views (conceptual, logical, physical, data flow and sequence diagrams)
Understanding and experience with Solutions Architecture methodology and practices
Ability to translate business requirements into conceptual and detailed technology solutions
Ability to perform third-party vendor assessments
Ability to develop and lead proof-of-concepts
Focused on delivering practical, working solutions (no ivory tower solutions)
Fluent understanding of security and compliance requirements and how to design solutions that are secure and compliant
Practical experience designing data solutions in multiple models and technologies: relational, No-SQL, big data, graph, distributed, cloud, unstructured and structured
Experience and expertise architecting and developing data platforms
Experience and expertise in data security
Experience and expertise with data lifecycle management, data-tiering and data archiving
Functional understanding and experience with BI and Analytics tools
Functional understanding of cloud data storage and analytics offerings
Experience migrating legacy systems to modern solutions

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
#DISNEYTECH
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $184,300 to $247,100 per year and in Seattle, WA $193,100 to $258,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
