Walt Disney Imagineering (“WDI”) is seeking a Clearance Administrator Senior to join the Walt Disney Imagineering Legal Team supporting Disney Experiences. This role is responsible for Clearance of all items related to WDI work and providing training on, and supervision of, the Clearance process.
The Clearance Administrator Senior will report to the Deputy Chief Counsel, Walt Disney Imagineering.
This is a full-time role.
What You Will Do
Facilitate legal clearances of WDI-created content for projects worldwide, including:
Nomenclature (names, copy, taglines, scripts)
Show graphics (logos, graphics)
Review WDI-created assets for use by project teams, other Disney business units, and 3rd parties
Track and report on clearance timelines, status of current clearance requests, and clearance-related concerns
Manage and provide leadership for direct report
Conduct training and education of clearance staff on clearance forms, software, tools, and processes
Meet with clients, including executives, and attend project team meetings to review and advise on clearance matters
Ensure WDI Legal team awareness of important issues and/or expedited clearance deadlines
Oversee, track and report status of clearance matters with outside counsel
Collaborate with the Corporate Legal I.P. team to produce presentations and conduct training for WDI project teams
Work with WDI Legal colleagues on clearance risk assessments
Update & maintain various nomenclature directories, and host monthly nomenclature update meetings
Participate in resource and workload planning
Assist the Corporate Legal trademark team in gathering data to file new trademark applications or extend existing trademark registrations
Required Qualifications & Skills
3 + years’ experience handling clearances, licensing, and other related agreements
Collaboration with stakeholders (e.g., project teams and Corporate Legal)
Strategic thinking, such as establishing clearance strategy and vision for each project
People-focused, able to influence others in a creative environment
Prioritize workload, such as rush requests
Ability to work semi-autonomously
Maintain and nurture positive, productive relationships with various groups: Corporate Legal I.P. team, WDI project teams and project leaders, other legal teams and clearance colleagues across TWDC, etc.
Be adept at handling communications with clients and executives on confidential and sensitive issues
Handle conflicts with clients and colleagues in a professional and thoughtful manner
Exceptional written and verbal skills
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Professionalism and maintenance of absolute confidentiality
Meticulous attention to detail, pride in work product
Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based systems such as Anaqua (software clearance software) and NetDocuments (file storage software).
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a team-based structure and consistently meet deadlines
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
ABA-approved Paralegal Certification or equivalent experience preferred

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, California is $78,200.00 to $104,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
