As an Assistant Port Adventures Manager, you’ll help create unforgettable experiences for our guests by supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of shore excursions across our global destinations. In this role, you’ll manage the product development of Port Adventures, ensuring accurate record keeping, tracking reports, and supporting the production and delivery of exceptional port experiences. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external tour operators, and report directly to the Regional Port Adventures Manager.
Responsibilities:
Product Development & Site Inspections
Ensure excursions meet Disney’s high standards for storytelling, safety, and service.
Craft compelling and guest-focused tour descriptions that reflect Disney’s storytelling standards and accuracy of the product.
Travel to existing ports to conduct site visits and evaluate excursion quality, safety, and guest satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local tour operators and vendors.
Track performance metrics, guest feedback, sales data to provide insight into future improvements
Partner with Website team to update excursion content and pricing.
Collaborate with Regional Manager and compile market research to ensure competitive and compelling product offerings.
Product Support
Support the rollout and enhancement of Port Adventures programs across the fleet.
Communicate product details to the inventory team and website team to begin sales as soon as possible.
Assist in onboarding new vendors and maintaining compliance documentation.
Collaborate with shipboard teams to ensure seamless execution of excursions.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
Process invoicing, purchase orders, and payment workflows using MXP, AMOS and SAP.
Assist preparing monthly accruals and resolving accounting discrepancies
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years working in travel / tour industry managing third party vendors
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote), MyJira, APEX, and SAP
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Understanding of WDW and DCL Policies and procedures
Experience with creating contracts and legal agreements
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with MXP, Seaware, and SharePoint systems
Required Education:
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or related field; or equivalent work experience
