Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Marketing Finance team provides strategic decision support to improve the business and drive strategy. Marketing Finance reports through the Dish Corporate Finance team and CFO, with dotted line support of the Marketing Team. The team provides ad-hoc strategic financial analysis, as well as budgeting and reporting support. The Financial Analyst II is responsible for providing financial support and analysis for strategic projects, ad-hoc requests from business and operational departments, and providing insights and support for budget and planning initiatives. The analyst's role will also include subscriber profitability analysis, business unit finance support, and long-term strategic decision support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, Operations, Supply Chain partners, and Financial Controls Group to develop, evaluate, and process new and existing Purchase Order (PO) requests
  • Oversee business case review process that integrates the Marketing team and the Finance team to ensure alignment between marketing plans and organizational goals
  • Collaborate with various team members to construct special project financial analysis
  • Build and maintain financial models to track and forecast revenue and expenses
  • Interpret financial data and communicate recommendations to department leadership and company executives
  • Develop financial reports to monitor key metrics, interpret financial results, and seek out areas of concern and/or opportunity
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in FP&A, finance, or accounting
  • 3+ years' experience in month-end financial reporting, budgeting, and variance reporting


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and working knowledge of Google Workspace applications
  • Candidates with demonstrated ability to overcome challenges with a need to achieve
  • High level of energy and intelligence necessary to thrive in a Fortune 200 company
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Ability to adjust to new, different, or changing requirements while maintaining a sense of urgency


Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in public accounting
  • Experience with OneStream or similar FP&A reporting tools
  • Financial modeling experience
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
