Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking an HVAC technician or Journeman Electrician to join the Facilities team at our Spkane, WA facility. The Broadcast Center facility consists of two main buildings and one outbuilding located on a 20-acre campus.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrician:

  • Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits.
  • Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using testing instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, and voltmeter.
  • Complete daily maintenance checks and work assignments. General duties include using power tools to install motors, transformers, lighting fixtures, cable trays, and complete circuits according to diagram specifications and Blueprints.
  • Complete work as required in a craftsman-like manner in conformance with requirements of local building and NEC codes.
  • Replaces faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of an electrical system.
  • Mounts motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures onto positions and completes circuits according to the diagram
  • Quarterly Filter changes on all HVAC equipment.
  • Additional duties include sweeping, mopping, painting, drywall repair, basic plumbing, mowing, trimming, snow removal, and other facility maintenance tasks as assigned


HVAC Tech:
  • Repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment including chillers, DX units, rooftop units, air handling units, Liebert CRAC units, fan coil units, exhaust fans, motors, pumps, and cooling towers
  • Responsible for repairing down equipment back to optimum working condition in a mission-critical environment
  • Perform regular scheduled preventative maintenance on all HVAC equipment
  • Work with other team members to maintain the site to DISH standards
  • Recognize internal customers and strive to meet their needs
  • Quarterly filter changes on all HVAC equipment


Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

Electrician:

  • Journeyman Electrician License or is able to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Must have 4+ years of experience in a commercial or industrial environment
  • Must have 4+ years of experience completing daily maintenance checks and work assignments, general duties including installing motors, transformers, lighting fixtures, cable trays, and complete circuits according to diagram specifications and Blueprints
  • Experience troubleshooting and testing electrical systems, including defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment, using test instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, and growlers


HVAC Tech:
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC in a mission critical system
  • Certified HVAC Technician
  • Refrigeration certification
  • Understanding water treatment and chiller performance
  • Installing and servicing pumps, motors, shafts, and bearings
  • General concepts of electrical theory including voltage, circuits, and wiring
  • Preventative maintenance
Must be able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Work outdoors throughout the year and during inclement weather
  • Work any shift as assigned according to the needs of the business
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds


Scheuled Weekly Hours:

Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $30.00/Hour - $37.00/Hour

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
