As a Senior Associate Incident & Threat Analyst you perform all phases of the incident response lifecycle as well as forensic investigations. Senior Associate Analysts collaborate with other cybersecurity teams in order to provide response and mitigation services while focusing on minimizing business impact. Incident response is a high visibility critical function that is a keystone service within the cybersecurity organization. The role of the Senior Associate Incident & Threat analyst is an exciting and constantly evolving role in a high dynamic field.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming incident escalations from the SOC that require second-level analysis, containment, mitigation and other remediation.
  • Identify and communicate lessons learned to relevant stakeholders
  • Provides mitigation services for identified threats and security incidents
  • Test security effectiveness and defensive readiness for the organization
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with peers and internal business partners
  • Assists in the development of presentations and executive briefings regarding relevant security incidents and findings to senior management
  • Generate strategically relevant attack scenarios to simulate adversaries. Draws attention to business impact of computer, system, and network security issues. Evaluates effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against identified threats
  • Presents lessons learned and meaningful case summaries to peers, management and additional teams as appropriate.
  • Incident response is a 24/7/365 function. You must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation and contribute during off-hours as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here's what we need from you:

  • Bachelors - Computer Science, Information Security or related
  • 4+ Years - Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Data Analytics or related
  • In lieu of a degree, 6+ Years - Information Security, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related

Internal applicants only: technical proficiency rating of competent on the Dreyfus cybersecurity scale

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
