If you have a growth mindset, naturally like to think big and bold, and are energized by the fast-paced environment of a true industry disruptor, you’ll find your place here.  We value winning together—while learning, having fun, and making a profound difference for the dreamers and builders in the world.

We’re looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead the evolution of DigitalOcean’s Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) )offerings. In this role, you’ll shape the future of developer experience on DO by building products like App Platform, Functions, CI/CD, and serverless tooling—helping startups and SMBs go from code to scale with minimal friction.

As a Staff PM, you’ll drive product vision, strategy, and execution for PaaS, collaborating with engineering, design, marketing, and support teams. You’ll bring a deep understanding of cloud-native development, strong customer empathy, and a track record of delivering successful infrastructure products that developers love.

You will report to the Senior Director of Product, Developer Experience, and play a key role in shaping how developers build and deploy modern apps on DigitalOcean.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define the strategy and roadmap for DigitalOcean’s PaaS offerings, including App Platform, Functions, and CI/CD experiences.
  • Drive new capabilities that make it seamless for developers to build, deploy, and scale apps without managing infrastructure.
  • Work closely with engineering and design to deliver performant, reliable, and delightful experiences.
  • Partner with developer relations, marketing, and sales to drive awareness, adoption, and retention.
  • Conduct deep customer research and usability testing to inform prioritization and validate solutions.
  • Track competitive trends in the PaaS and serverless space to identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Collaborate with internal platform and infrastructure teams to ensure services are scalable and cost-efficient.

Key Metrics:

  • Customer adoption and retention
  • Developer satisfaction and NPS
  • Application performance and deployment reliability
  • Revenue and usage growth for PaaS services

What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean:

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years focused on cloud infrastructure or developer platforms.
  • Deep empathy for developers and familiarity with modern frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized applications.
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams.
  • Experience owning full product lifecycles—from strategy and ideation to launch and iteration.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of cross-functional influence.
  • Bonus points for experience in developer-first SaaS companies or contributing to open-source platforms.

Compensation Range:
