As the Director, Online Growth, you will join a vibrant and diverse Marketing team that is focused on delivering revenue through full-funnel marketing strategies; including paid media sources, lead generation, online growth and experimentation, integrated campaigns, and email marketing. The team is highly analytical and data driven, yet deeply customer-focused. You will lead the Online Growth team and make strategic decisions that drive revenue growth from online web channels.

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team of online growth professionals, including Web Growth Marketing Managers, Designers and engineering.
  • Develop and implement a data-driven online growth strategy that aligns with DigitalOcean's overall business objectives.
  • Manage and execute the web roadmap by collaborating with stakeholders in product marketing, product, sales, and partnerships
  • Manage all web resources, including agencies and staffing partners. You will be responsible for efficiently managing resources, talent, and processes to hit deadlines
  • Oversee all aspects of website growth marketing, SEM page optimization, online conversion rate optimization (CRO), growth experimentation and testing process
  • Partner with product, engineering, design, product marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment across all online growth initiatives to drive high value customer acquisition.
  • Support product launch initiatives by collaborating with product marketing, product, and engineering teams
  • Set clear goals and KPIs for online growth initiatives and track progress through comprehensive reporting and data analysis.
  • Deep understanding of product led growth strategies, growth loops, A/B testing, and growth velocity 
  • Identify and implement new and innovative online marketing strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest online marketing trends and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and experimentation within your team. Lead the online agile growth process and ensure process success
  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent within the online growth marketing field.

What We’ll Expect From You:

  • 8 years managing and leading online growth teams in a high growth environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business related fields of Marketing or Advertising
  • Demonstrated experience in demand generation in the Cloud industry
  • Marketing operations experience with best-in-class PLG marketing tools 
  • Experience building and managing internal marketing teams that are responsible for revenue targets
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth at scale
  • Ability to generate reports on key performance metrics and clearly communicate the results
  • Proactive communication skills and track record of setting and executing on monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
  • Deep understanding of SaaS based business models, including concepts around monthly recurring revenue and pay-back periods
  • Demonstrable critical thinking and analytical skills, including the ability and confidence to make strategic decisions based on data

  • We reward our employees. The base salary range for this position is between $190,000.00 - $225,000.00 based on relevant years of experience and skills. The salary range for this role is specific to candidates located within the U.S. and will vary for candidates outside the U.S.. Employees may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees including grants of equity upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
