About the Role

The accounting analyst role is helping the Statutory Finance Team to make compliant (internally and externally) all the Hungarian entities, especially the Budapest office.

The team prepares monthly IFRS management accounts through SAP and reports in BFC for group consolidation and supporting the annual financial statement preparation as per HUN GAAP.

Main accounting areas are: fixed assets, creditors, accruals, intercompany, payroll, local and other taxes.

Role Responsibilities

  • Perform month end close including journal entry preparation, and BS GL reconciliation
  • Prepare review on management reports at monthly basis
  • Prepare financial reports, statistical returns
  • Support analytical review of management reports to provide relevant explanation of the entity's activities and performance during the year.
  • Be in contact with auditors and external service providers
  • Regular invoice processing
  • Ensure proper fiscal invoice reporting against Tax Authority


What you'll bring
  • Degree educated in relevant finance / accounting/ business area
  • Qualified accountant
  • 1-3 years proven experience in finance / accounting
  • Strong Financial Controlling knowledge (Balance sheet, Group and Local Financial Reporting, Accounting principles)
  • Fluent English knowledge
  • Understanding of Hungarian Accounting Law
  • International qualification (IFRS) is an advantage
  • Interest in Taxation is an advantage
