Cameronbridge Distillery, founded in 1824 is the largest single grain distillery in Europe which has just reached its 200th anniversary. Production volumes are of circa 100 million litres of grain spirit and 45 million litres of Gin & Vodka per year. The site operates continuously 24/7 across 365 days of the year.
About the role
This exciting role is responsible for the effective management and protection of all company assets across the Cameronbridge Site. The team consists of 5 Officers, reporting directly to the Site Assurance Business Leader, working in partnership with the 3rd party contract security team.

Key responsibilities will be;
- To maintain security standards through the implementation of departmental operating procedures and work instructions.
- To control access/egress of all vehicles and personnel, cover relevant gatehouses and carry out gatehouse duties, ensuring all employees, contractors and visitors adhere to site rules and receive induction.
- To investigate incidents and losses and liaise with Police and governing bodies (e.g. HMR&C, HSE, SEPA) as required.
- To apply customs and excise scheme of control including conducting random checks and performing site audits.
This role covers 365 days with flexibility required to cover shifts as required (where possible) during training, sickness and holidays. Shifts include Day, Back & Core shifts, with 2 weekends in every 5.
About You
Do you have a positive can-do demeanour, and the ability to make decisions fast, while dealing with high pressure situations?
The successful candidate will be able to build and maintain positive relationships and effective communication channels with both internal and external parties.
To be successful in this role, you will need;
- Solid understanding of Customs and excise operating procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to all levels across the site
- Ability to coordinate a variety of tasks and prioritise self and others accordingly
- Full UK driving license with the necessary requirements to drive company vehicles.
- Sound Health and Safety understanding
