Purpose:

  • Revenue Growth Management (RGM) is defined as the application of analytics to discern customers' perception of product value and then sense, predict, and shape their path-to-purchase to optimize product assortment, price, place, pack, promotion, and availability with shopping occasions for profitable revenue growth.
  • At its core, RGM in Diageo is about selling the right product to the right consumer at the right time and price. To deliver our agenda, we leverage five RGM levers: headline/strategic pricing, promotional effectiveness, pack and format architecture, trade & portfolio mix, and trade terms.
  • The RGM Analyst will deliver RGM analysis and plans for Dominican RepubliC while partnering with CCA multifunctional stakeholders through these levers as part of E2E Planning.
  • Be a catalyst for organizational change leading to an obsession with RGM in Dominican Republic and connecting the holistic RGM agenda in CCA.

Market Context

The Caribbean and Central America (CCA) market is a Diageo business unit that generates approx. £300m NSV. CCA is the most profitable market in LAC both in terms of absolute operating profit and margin. 90% of our NSV is USD invoiced.

CCA is a very dynamic market with many opportunities. Our geographical footprint covers 37 countries, where different languages are spoken and we have a population of 80m, 52m of whom are LDA+. Our model is a distributor based RTC with over 40 partners.

The Scotch category accounts for approx. 70% of Total NSV, predominantly playing in the Premium and Super Premium segments; Diageo share of market in Scotch varies from 45% to 75% across the region - making us the number one player.

Dominican Republic is our most significant market in CCA representing around 40% of NSV and will continue to be critical to achieve CCA's ambition. Its unique geographical context offers diverse opportunities for growth. The Scotch category plays predominantly in Premium segments here; thus, understanding local consumer behavior is crucial.

Decision Making
  • Support RGM managers and Head of Growth in defining priority levers based on market climate descriptions specific to Dominican Republic.
  • Recommend Pricing Analysis for headline pricing interventions tailored to local needs, as well as maximizing other RGM levers to unlock profitable growth.
  • Drive value creation by partnering with DR's Distributor to maximize the RGM holistic agenda.

Financial Responsibility

  • Responsible for analyzing VMPC (Volume Mix Price Contribution) tool relevant to Total DIAGEO Dominican Republic Market partnering with FP&A and Commercial Finance DR.
  • Support the Trade Spend management agenda for Dominican Republic, both in Diageo and the Dsitributor.


Leadership Responsibility:
  • No direct reports; however influence commercial teams locally focusing on executing RGM strategy effectively.
  • Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders including DR Commercial Local Team and RGM regional stakeholders across Diageo.


Key Outputs/Deliverables
  • Transform into an RGM-driven organization through capability programs tailored for DR.
  • Synthesize marketing/commercial information drawing insights/actionable recommendations specific to DR conditions.
  • Identify/executing market-level opportunities optimizing revenue/value creation throughout value chain locally partnering with Commercial Finance.


Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • 3+ years work experience in both Commercial and/or Finance roles, RGM a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree required in Business or related field.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with mastery of pivot tables and advanced formulas.
  • Power BI or similar, as a distinct advantage.
  • Spanish required / English a plus.
  • Problem-solving - ability to think through issues and find practical solutions.
  • Ability to work around and within a variety of different market conditions and demographic factors.
  • FMCG pricing expertise and experience of trade investment analysis is a distinct advantage.
