About the Team
The St. James's Gate (SJG) Brewery consists of Dublin brewery plus the Beer Blending Agents (BBA) Brewery located on the SJG site. SJG brews a range of Diageo owned brands as well as a number of franchise beers. It produces multiple SKUs which are either kegged on site or transported in bulk tankers to packaging sites in Runcorn, Belfast or some 3rd party packaging sites.
About the Role
As a Process Operator you will have the opportunity to learn and develop in a number of key processes across Brewing, Quality, Kegging and Tanker dispatch.
You'll be responsible for the operation of respective process control system and procedures. Additionally, you will play a role in ensuring compliance to food safety and quality standards, ensuring that we deliver quality product to our customers every time.
In this role you'll utilise safe systems of working, and risk assessment of plant and process. Health and safety compliance is key and be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside other Key Performance Indicators and targets including quality, hygiene, waste, and efficiency.
Main responsibilities include:
- Understand the functions, working of machines and perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
- Lead and control all processes including operation of packaging machinery.
- Carry out quality analyses relevant to the role, and ensure quality is right first time and all data input.
- Apply Manufacturing Excellence tools and techniques.
About You
This role requires a proactive approach. You'll work closely with stakeholders in our brewing operations, planning and logistics teams to ensure that any risks to our customer service are mitigated; being a good communicator is crucial. You'll use your analytical mindset to support in root cause problem solving (RCPS) where required. Through a suite of manufacturing excellence tools, we strive to achieve extraordinary standards, and you'll support us on our continuous improvement journey by identify and undertaking projects in your area.
