About the Role:
- The Performance Improvement Lead will be an integral part of a process team to help develop and coach cultural change and drive towards Zero Stops & Zero Waste
- Performance Partner to Process Team Leader with joint accountability for results of the line scorecard (Safety/Quality/Cost /Service) - especially c/o time, OEE losses, long and short stops and other forms of waste
- Implement & Coach to ensure sustainable deployment of MMS practices and lead at least 1 practice at line / hall level.
- Functional Partner to the Distillery Team Leaders well practised in the tools and methodologies to apply (e.g. Loss & Waste analysis, RCPS, DMAIC)
- Facilitate and leading plant and process problem solving.
- Coaching of process team (PTL'S, Operators and Craft) on trouble shooting tools
- Provide performance data and drive CI activities eg into weekly Planned Preventative Maintenance Meeting, & Weekly Team Meeting
- Support process teams to drive an integrated approach to continuous improvement at T1 & T2
- Support Data Analysis for their designated lines
Qualifications
- Sophisticated formal training or further education or qualified through experience
- Yellow and Green belt six sigma
- Train the trainer
- DMAIC
Experience
- At least 3 years' experience in a process environment with a consistent record in leading people and/or small teams, projects and cross functional team working
- Record of utilising manufacturing excellence tools and techniques such as 5S, set up time reduction, Lean six sigma, Asset Care, DMAIC improvement techniques.
- Experience of coaching and influencing a range of team members for success is crucial.
- Track record of great engagement and communication skills
- Intermediate project management skills.
- Desirable knowledge in Tequila making process
- Ability to interpret and analyse extensive data sources to identify loss and waste, cost saving opportunities and trends,
- Proficient in use of standard business (MS Office) and Diageo packages
- Solid understanding of SAP.
- English and Spanish sophisticated skills.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide guidance and support to PTL.
- Actively develops, promotes and drives the implementation of MMS tools and techniques across Lines to the agreed line plans.
- Closely monitors and reports performance and practice progress across designated lines
- Ensure that any improvements implemented are standardised and sustained within operations teams (sharing standard methodology)
- Analyses loss & waste, validates data and provides clear strategy to prioritise improvements with PTL.
- Participate, lead, sponsor & coach ongoing prioritised improvement projects using the DMAIC methodology. (eg 5Why, FT-DMAIC, Yellow Belt etc)
- Coordinates and effectively delivers training and coaching of MMS practices
- Engage with the Daily & Weekly Operational Review meetings to provide expert analysis of performance improvement opportunities.
