In this role, you will report to the Head of Monopoly markets and be responsible for the Swedish commercial agenda.

Purpose of Role:
The purpose of this role is to lead the commercial agenda, ensuring delivery of sustainable growth and long-term value in a complex and highly regulated environment.

Swedish Monopoly (Systembolaget):
  • Lead the end-to-end relationship with Systembolaget, operating with credibility, transparency, and commercial insight to drive strong brand presence and performance.
  • Lead the strategic management of the tender process, assortment development, and listing optimisation - aligning brand priorities with Systembolaget's framework and category focus.
  • Use data and insight to influence decision-making within the bounds of regulation, anticipating shifts in strategic direction and adjusting plans accordingly.
  • Ensure commercial discipline through accurate forecasting, supply planning, and compliance with pricing, communication, and ethical guidelines.

On Trade (via Distributor):
  • Lead the relationship with the On Trade distributor, establishing clear short-, medium- and long-term goals aligned with Diageo's strategic ambition.
  • Act as a key integrator between Diageo and the distributor, navigating differing company cultures and operating styles to ensure strong collaboration and mutual accountability.
  • Support capability building, commercial performance, and executional excellence across the distributor's sales and activation plans.
  • This role requires a highly adaptable, strategic commercial leader who can balance structure with agility, influence within constraints, and lead through partnership to unlock the full market potential.


Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Confirmed experience in commercial management with customer-facing roles and full P&L accountability.
  • Expertise in leading commercial strategy and execution within regulated markets or state-owned customers.
  • Experience in leading distributor relationships, setting goals, and navigating cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a history of building credibility and trust with external partners.
  • Advanced negotiation and influencing skills focused on insight and long-term value creation.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English.
