This is a 6-month secondment opportunity.

About the role:

There is an exciting new opportunity to come and join Diageo Luxury Company Off-Trade Team as the National Account Manager for Costco. In this role you will have the opportunity to lead the commercial performance of our premium and luxury brands through rigorous commercial management and relentlessly seeking opportunities to drive performance through activation and sell out initiatives. Your responsibilities will include managing performance, launching new products and promotions, owning forecasts, and driving mutual growth plans. You will bring keen attention to detail and a dedicated attitude in addition to an entrepreneurial spirit.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Drive commercial performance of Diageo brand in Costco and Majestic Wines with a focus on our luxury portfolio. Rigorous performance management, unlocking growth opportunities, and enhancing sustainable profit delivery in alignment with Diageo's premium brand standards.
  • Operate as a leader within the sales organisation & an ambassador for the channel and our brands demonstrating passion, energy & tenacity with challenging customers.
  • Ensure all customer data and information are meticulously managed to support robust customer relationships and strategic decision-making.
  • Coaching and day-to-day management of a NAE to ensure excellence in back-office management and constantly looking for ways to improve this.
  • Ability and confidence to make the necessary informed recommendations to course correct when required to ensure activities are successfully delivered
  • Maintain strong ownership of customer relationships by employing effective negotiation, persuasion, and conflict resolution skills to foster trust and collaboration.
  • Own promotional activities, new line setups, pricing strategies (both internal & external), and catalogue management to ensure premium presentation across platforms.
  • Conduct detailed account forecasting to manage results both internally within Diageo and externally with Costco
  • Engage in strategic conversations with customers/buyers ensuring key commercial plans align with Diageo's luxury brand objectives.
  • Envision the full Diageo multifunctional team into our vision and growth ambition with Costco and the role they play to deliver it. Found strong collaborative relationships with RGM, Brand, Innovation, Supply and commercial finance.

  • Deliver annual financial objectives by aligning with Diageo Luxury Company brand ambitions and market expectations.
  • Develop and implement a collaborative commercial relationship with Costco, focusing on execution to maximise return on investment and achieve brand and profit targets.
  • Successfully activate commercial and brand-building growth drivers through analysis and insights into customer strategy and consumer behaviours specific to Diageo brands and the luxury segment.
  • Act as a leader within the wider team, sharing standard methodologies and fostering a culture of coaching and development that improves our commercial capability standards in the luxury market.
  • Deliver exceptional results for both customers and Diageo by maintaining a sustained commitment to priority outcomes through effective cross-functional collaboration with multiple resources, each contributing to building strong customer relationships.


Experience / skills required:
  • Previous National Account sales experience.
  • Robust and Rapid commercial understanding, P&L literacy - highly developed numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills - ability to adapt style as needed.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and ability lead through others to deliver objectives.
  • Strong time management & prioritisation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial approach and ability to bring ideas to execution.
  • High attention to detail.
