About the Role:

In CDT, our objective is to provide world-class consumer experiences that drive brand & business growth - whilst doing so in the most efficient and sustainable way. We have stood-up 5 engines, supported by a transversal MarTech Transformation Office, to scale these kinds of outcomes in repeatable way - consistent technology, capabilities and operating models across marketing teams. We strive to create global tools to support markets and brands to deliver their shape of A&P

This role sits within the Scaled Reach Engine, which is focused on building world class media, retail media, social media and earned media capabilities and operating models. Employing data and technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our $1bn+ Media & Scaled Reach investment.

Purpose of Role

The Media Tech Lead ensures the right advertising and media technologies are in place, connected, and optimized to enable high-performance, secure, and scalable delivery of brand communication across paid, retail and social media channels.

This includes ownership of AdTech and Media platforms (e.g., The Trade Desk, DoubleVerify, Scibids) that enable planning, buying, activation, optimisation, and measurement at global scale, as well as the design of tech solutions that support media sufficiency, efficiency, campaign personalisation, and cross-channel orchestration.

Technology Roadmaps, Architecture & Design

  • Define and maintain technology roadmaps for Media/AdTech in line with strategic marketing goal..
  • Design architecture to drive efficiency in media buying, verification.
  • Select appropriate architecture frameworks (e.g., APIs, event-driven integration, cloud-native) to ensure seamless platform connectivity.
  • Translate media and marketing requirements into scalable technical designs and reusable architecture patterns.

System Integration & Data Flows
  • Architect end-to-end data and process flows between AdTech tools, Social Media Management platforms, and the broader Martech and Enterprise data ecosystem.

  • Integrate media platforms with CDP, analytics, consent, and creative systems to ensure consistent and effective audience activation and measurement.
  • Enable real-time decisioning, dynamic creative optimization, and campaign intelligence through robust data flows.

Tool Evaluation & Stack Rationalization
  • Evaluate and recommend best-fit media, verification, and social engagement tools aligned with global marketing strategies.
  • Maintain vendor partnerships and evaluate their roadmaps for strategic alignment.
  • Find opportunities to simplify the media technology landscape and remove redundancy or technical debt.

Governance, Privacy & Compliance
  • Ensure all tools and data flows align with privacy, security, and consent standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure safe usage of media and social data.
  • Implement governance frameworks for influencer data, media targeting, and performance visibility.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with media teams, agency partners, and social engagement teams to define business requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product Leads, Enterprise Architects, and the Data & Analytics teams to ensure integrated planning, buying, and measurement.
  • Align with brand teams and activation partners to ensure architecture supports campaign orchestration and innovation.

Performance Optimization & Scalability
  • Monitor platform performance, scalability, and reliability to support global campaigns and media operations.
  • Design for future growth, enabling expansion of programmatic buying, paid social capabilities, and influencer measurement at scale.
  • Enable intelligent optimisation of media spend and creative placement using AI-based tools and automation.


Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
  • Maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including data flows, vendor mappings, and integration specifications.
  • Lead architecture reviews and promote best practices across the global media and Martech communities.


Qualifications and Experience Required

  • 10+ years of experience in IT, digital media, or Martech with at least 5 years in a solution architecture or media platform design role.
  • Strong domain expertise in AdTech (DSPs, verification, DCO), social media management, and paid media orchestration.
  • Experience working with platforms such as The Trade Desk, DoubleVerify, Scibids, Sprinklr, Traackr, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success architecting cross-platform media and marketing solutions with integration into broader Martech ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with media planning, measurement, influencer engagement, and performance marketing.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge business needs and technical design in a global matrix organisation.
