About the role
The Media & Digital Manager is responsible for delivering market-leading, data-driven, and insight-led media planning across Diageo's Central and Eastern Europe Market. Reporting into the Head of Culture, Media & Digital, the role will own Diageo's annual Connections Planning process across the region, guiding full-funnel omnichannel planning in partnership with our media and culture agency partners. This role requires strong digital media expertise, a performance mindset, and the ability to collaborate across brand, commercial, and agency teams to drive business growth through media excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Media Strategy: Lead the annual Connections Planning process with our media agency (PHD) and internal partners to create integrated, data-driven, and brand-aligned media strategies.
- Performance Optimisation: Guide real-time performance marketing decisions using Diageo's dashboards and media data tools to drive media effectiveness and creative optimisation.
- Media Execution & Governance: Ensure media plans uphold Diageo's global media standards, are insight-led, and deliver full-funnel impact across all digital and traditional channels.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with brand marketing teams, commercial stakeholders, and distributors to influence investment and embed media standards.
- Capability Building: Develop internal and distributor team capability on media and digital marketing, driving a performance culture and ensuring media becomes a core growth lever.
Key Deliverables
Develop and execute annual Connections Plans for all priority brands in collaboration with agencies and category teams, rooted in data, insight, and channel effectiveness.
Own digital performance optimisation strategies, leveraging Diageo dashboards to continuously improve ROI and support creative optimisation decisions across campaigns.
Ensure full-funnel media integration, delivering seamless consumer journeys with no dead ends, aligned with category strategy and global media standards.
Act as an internal media subject matter expert, building understanding and influence across brand, commercial, and distributor teams to guide smarter investment decisions.
Manage central media activations and paid digital campaigns, overseeing agency partners in social, display, video and other performance media channels across CEE.
Drive the external trend and innovation agenda, bringing in standard methodologies and future-facing opportunities that accelerate Diageo's digital maturity across the region.

Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in media strategy, planning, and digital marketing within an agency or FMCG/CPG marketing environment.
- Proven expertise managing integrated media across multiple countries, ideally in a regional or multi-market role.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver YoY brand or category growth through media.
- Strong knowledge of CPG business models, performance levers, and brand media integration.
- Deep experience working with agency partners and managing central digital activations across social, video, and paid media platforms.
- Confident with data tools, dashboards, and performance reporting (experience with econometrics or MMM a plus).
- Comfortable in matrixed, fast-paced, cross-functional teams, with excellent communication and influence skills.
