It's an intricate and sophisticated operation that's the product of logistical, manufacturing, and technical collaborations.

About The Role

As a Market Service Owner based in our Glasgow office, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across global markets. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise effectively, and a collaborative attitude.

Reporting to the Logistics Team Leader, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including market contacts, production sites and third-party freight service providers. Your role will be central to understanding the unique needs of each market and ensuring these are met through effective planning and communication.

You'll manage the full freight process, selecting the most appropriate services at the best value, while also handling pre-shipment requirements, PO creation, freight quoting, billing, and investigation. A proactive approach to resolving export-related issues and a strong understanding of market-specific products and requirements will be essential.

Operating in a process-driven environment, you'll bring a customer-first approach to service delivery, ensuring that we continue to meet high standards of performance and reliability across all our logistics operations.

About You

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values collaboration and is passionate about delivering great service. You'll bring a positive, solutions-focused approach and a desire to work as part of a supportive, high-performing team.

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

  • Experience working in a logistics environment, preferably within exports

  • A strong understanding of freight documentation and terminology

  • A solutions-oriented mindset, with the determination to overcome obstacles and deliver results

  • Shown ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across teams and external partners

  • A collaborative, "one team" attitude - working together to achieve shared goals aligned with business objectives

  • Working knowledge of SAP (advantageous but not essential)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

If you're enthusiastic, organised, and ready to contribute to a dynamic team, we'd love to hear from you.
