Context/Scope:

Diageo NA Finance is continuing to embark on major changes in the way we work and the way we work with our business partners. The change impacts all aspects of the way we operate. Getting our data and systems environment right is a top priority, as it underpins many of the other changes we are looking to make.
Purpose of Role:

This is a meaningful role in enabling our North America Transformation agenda. This role will be part of the North America FP&A team which was will work cross functionality with Finance & DBS to craft, develop, and improve both the forecasting and reporting systems across the business (Spirits, Beer, or Canada). Key to this is crafting a stable, user-friendly, coordinated technology for the Finance team and their business partners to enable faster, smarter decision-making. The role will specifically be responsible for helping to embed the US Spirits One Plan forecasting system and the BPM reporting system within the organization. This role will work cross functionally, connecting sales, marketing, finance, and DBS to deliver the platform

Top Accountabilities:

This role interacts with a large number of end users include Finance directors, Vice presidents, Commercial Sales & Marketing heads, Brand Marketing, Customer Marketing, and other centrally based functions.

The success of someone in this role is impacted by their ability to:
  • Acquire a detailed understanding of core forecasting and reporting business processes, data flow, and systems capabilities.
  • This is a heavy financial system role having the ability and experience in this area to troubleshoot any issues with the data in the One plan tool
  • Continue to drive the data validation & accuracy of the information across the systems. landscape. Focus on One Plan and BPM however there are upstream and downstream impacts.
  • Work across various groups (Commercial & Finance); actively communicate, manage expectations, influence areas/actions outside of their direct control.
  • Work closely with the relevant collaborators for making sure the data is correct for BFC reporting and BPM process
  • Work directly with DBS BAs, Project Managers, and COE's in order bring to resolution to system issues and drive One Plan and BPM improvements.
  • Document WOW / FAQs / Best Practices.


Decision Support

Collaborate with the Finance leadership team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objective
Management Responsibility:

This role has no direct reports.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Experience in Financial and Technical MIS reporting
  • 8-10 years of experience required - strong understanding of financial & commercial forecasting, reporting and analysis.
  • Strong system skills - sophisticated Excel, Anaplan, Python and PowerBI understanding and working knowledge Visibility Analytics and SAP.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships and manage expectations at all levels.
  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results oriented and passionate about delivery.
