About the role
This role sits in the Beer Liquid team, reporting to the Brand Change Manager Africa & Liquid , within the beer category. The role is instrumental in Diageo's journey to become the most innovative, trusted and most respected consumer goods company in the world.
In summary, the Liquid Technologist role has responsibility for leading the liquid concept development stage of NTW Innovations for beer and brewed products globally; Leading the liquid commercialisation activities across a wide variety of liquid types, from beer, Low/No-Alc, cider and Cocktails to distilled spirits and formulated products and partnering with our Brand Change teams in Africa markets to support liquid commercialisation.
Responsibilities
- Leads liquid activities for new innovations from pre-concept through to post-launch in accordance with the Navigate and Accelerate 360 process and compliant with the Brand Change Standards.
- Seeks to understand consumer insights and develops great liquids on brief, within timeline standards for quality, cost and consumer testing hurdles.
- Provides Supply input and commercial grounding for new liquids during project development and commercialisation phases, driving resolution of commercialisation hurdles that may arise and managing regular project communications partnering with Supply Project Managers , to Supply and Demand stakeholders, Technical Operations, and the broader Supply community.
- Builds great relationships with stakeholders both within Diageo's supply and demand organisations and with suppliers to Diageo.
- Applies strong project management skills to develop and manage project timelines, addresses technical challenges and ensures risk profiles and mitigation plans are developed and completed for each project.
About you
- You will have proven practical experience in a relevant technical role (Brand Change, Operations, Governance)
- Knowledge in liquid manufacturing in the brewed or formulated product area.
- Product / concept development experience with proven delivery in development and/or commercialisation of beverages or food products.
- Science Degree with specific food science, brewing or food/beverage related element.
