What does this role look like for you?
This role will support the commercial strategy and planning lead and premix innovation managers to deliver process improvements, speed to market and commercial effectiveness across the premix innovation pipeline
The Innovation Commercialization Manager plays a crucial role in the successful launch and execution of our premix innovation products. Working as part of a cross functional, newly created premix growth team, this role will partner with the Premix Commercial Strategy Lead to accelerate growth through the development and flawless execution of innovation projects, whilst delivering efficient and effective commercial outcomes for our premix NPD pipeline.
The role requires close collaboration with innovation managers and commercial leads across the business with strong commercial acumen, understanding of the innovation process, and execution standards essential.
This role's key responsibilities include:
Execution and Analysis:
- Support the execution of innovation launches, ensuring all activities are aligned with the commercialization plan.
- Monitor the performance of innovation products post-launch, using data and analytics to evaluate success against key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare detailed performance reports and scorecards for innovation products, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with the innovation managers and cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, category, customer marketing, and supply chain, to ensure seamless execution of key innovation projects.
- Assist in the coordination of launch activities, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned with project timelines and objectives through leadership and governance of internal commercialization forums
- Support the development and implementation of post-launch review processes, ensuring learnings are captured and applied to future projects.
- Be future focused to support the development of innovation pipelines and revenue growth
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in the execution and analysis of innovation products.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and tools for monitoring and evaluating innovation performance.
- Identify opportunities for profit accretion through value engineering and portfolio optimization projects
What you need to bring to this role:
As part of a new team and in this newly created role for Australia this is an opportunity to carve out a clear path for innovation commercialization and build critical skills across marketing, commercial and innovation. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Strong end-to-end commercial capability, with P&L understanding to drive profitable growth
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to turn strategy into action, and both understand details and reflect on the big picture
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with an ability to address challenges & complexity, propose solutions and focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines, and a tolerance for ambiguity
