ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
The Head of Corporate Relations in Brazil will lead institutional engagement strategy and support Diageo's public relations/reputation strategies, institutional relations, and sustainability efforts in Brazil. This role acts as a strategic business partner to strengthen the corporate brand by building trustful relationships with key stakeholders and promoting Diageo's positive societal impact.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Corporate Relations for Latin America, this position shares representation on Diageo Brazil's Executive Committee. The role involves collaborating with peers leading functions such as Communication, Public Policy, and Sustainability.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and implement Corporate Relations strategy in Brazil aligned with global/regional priorities.
- Lead institutional engagement agenda with entities and critical stakeholders.
- Directly manage state-level public policy strategies.
- Identify/leverage business opportunities for DIAGEO.
- Strengthen industry agenda/promote responsibility/regulation/taxation strategies.
- Enhance Diageo's reputation among external stakeholders-press, government, associations.
- Ensure consistency in corporate messaging/public positioning.
- Act as strategic advisor supporting reputational issues/external relationships.
- Collaborate with function Heads (Public Policy/Comms/Sustainability) promoting high performance/collaboration/purpose culture.
EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Economics, Law, International Relations or related fields; Postgraduate/MBA is a plus.
- Proficiency in English required.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Public Policy including full Corporate Relations function experience.
- At least 10 years' leadership experience within Corporate Relations areas like Corporate Communication or Institutional Relations/Sustainability preferably within large multinationals.
- Experience with Trade Associations/Government desirable; alcoholic beverages sector experience preferred.
