The GPO Model Enablement Team will define, design, deploy, embed and continuously improve the Model (at an enterprise level). Bringing Functions and Markets on the journey (Exec down) to drive agreement and the shift to a GPO Model aligned organisation. The team will work in partnership with a broad range of partners to agree, codify and deliver new ways of working across the business. This could involve everything from defining clearer decision rights/RACIs between teams across the end-to-end change journey, to shaping the organisational set up needed to support it. Key partners will include but are not limited to; Global Process Executive (GPE), Owners (GPOs), and Leads (GPLs), as well as functions such as the Strategy & Transformation Team, Digital Technology and Data Team, Controls, and Transformation Programs.

Note: This team does not define the standards for business processes/capabilities themselves (e.g. for Finance), instead it will define the common approach needed across all GPO Teams to stand up the model consistently.

About the role:

  • The GPO Model Program Manager will be at the forefront of this organisational and cultural shift and will own the program management for bringing Diageo on this journey, working with our Global Process Owner Model Lead, the Global Process Owners (GPOs) and partners who lead interdependent workstreams. This role will define the program from playing a role in shaping our strategic ambition to driving and overseeing its execution. This role will also oversee GPO Model related Governance forums (e.g. Global Process Council) and process taxonomy decisions. The role will be accountable to the Global Process Owner (GPO) Model Lead.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide thought leadership to define the program from strategy to execution, as well as overseeing and managing the day-to-day program
  • Operationalise the strategy by translating and driving actionable plans, delivered both directly by the Enablement Team or through others
  • Build, drive and orchestrate activity across the program plan, strategically guiding the team and collaborators to deliver the vision and objectives, proactively manage risks/issues
  • Ensure we have the right mechanisms to create, evolve, track and report progress to key partners (including senior team members), evidencing outcome delivery
  • Collaborate across the GPO Model Enablement Team and with partners to create content to engage and drive decisions at senior partner meetings / governance forums / workshops
  • Build and own the change and communications management strategy/plan, working with teams to align activity to ensure we land a compelling and coherent GPO Model story
  • Understand key transformational programmes and work with program teams to embed the GPO Model approach and core principles in the Transformation approach taken by programs

Experience / skills required:

Key Skillsets
  • Translating big picture strategic/conceptual thinking into practical plans and execution
  • Building strong team member relationships in matrix organisations (up to senior leader level) and able to challenge openly and resolve conflict
  • End to end organisational transformation delivery - ideally in ‘greenfield' environments
  • Able to flex leadership style and adapt to cultural differences
  • Confident communicator and storyteller
  • Change Management, Program Management and Workshop Design and Facilitation skills
  • Understands the basic Process concepts (willingness to learn if not)


IDEAL EXPERIENCES / QUALIFICATIONS / CAPABILITIES
  • 8-10 years + of relevant experience driving organisational-wide end-to-end transformation and Program Management
  • Proven track record of winning hearts and minds to inspire change and transformation
  • Planning, preparing and running workshops to take program from defintion to execution and other along this journey
  • Demonstrated ability to drive clarity and change through ambiguity and complexity across fast paced and large multi layered matrix organizations
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships based on openness, mutual trust and respect
  • Demonstrated brilliant execution to impeccably high standards and deep personal accountability for great performance
  • Experience working across multiple countries/geographies/culture
