Purpose of role
The Global Portfolio Platforms Marketing Manager will work with global and market teams to increase recruitment into our brands using the power of our portfolio and by creating the best consumer experience for our portfolio platforms (The Bar, Malts, and Diageo Bar Academy).
We are seeking a strategic and creative Marketing Manager to lead initiatives across CRM, loyalty programs, community building, and data acquisition to elevate our digital presence and deepen customer engagement. This role is pivotal in shaping how users connect with our brand online, turning site visitors into loyal, long-term customers through personalized communication, smart segmentation, and community-driven experiences.
You will be responsible for:
- Work closely with the portfolio platform marketing team to create and implement global marketing strategies for an omnichannel consumer journey, ensuring close partnership with markets to support their business goals.
- Own and evolve the CRM strategy to drive personalized, timely, and impactful messaging across key touchpoints, ensure consistency with overall brand strategy.
- Develop and implement lifecycle campaigns to improve user onboarding, retention, and reactivation.
- Lead efforts to grow the first-party data ecosystem via smart lead capture, gated content, referral programs, and personalization tools.
- Optimize email sign-up flows, exit-intent popups, and gamified acquisition mechanics.
- Work closely with Legal to ensure compliance with privacy regulations are adhered to.
- Work closely with the CDP and data teams to ensure all data is captured in our database in a way that can be activated by markets.
- Develop strategies to foster a strong user community around the brand-online forums, user-generated content, ambassador programs, and social interaction.
- Partner with global product management team to build brand experiences into the consumer journey that match the CRM strategy and brand strategy, as well as informing new features and capabilities to support community building.
- Work with analytics teams to monitor key performance indicators such CLTV, CAC, conversion, and more ensuring total performance is taken into account for key test and learn opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years of experience in brand, CRM, or digital marketing
- Proven success building and scaling CRM and loyalty strategies either from a global or a local market team.
- Experience working with major marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
- Strong analytical skills-comfortable with customer segmentation, A/B testing, and performance measurement.
- Excellent communication and project management skills; ability to drive alignment across partner groups.
- Passion for customer-centric storytelling and building meaningful digital experiences.
- Experience with CDPs and data management (i.e., Treasure Data)
- Familiarity with customer research methodologies and voice-of-customer programs.
- Results-oriented mentality, with a passion for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence within the allocated budget
