This role will be a key business and administrative support for the Global Occupational Health, Wellbeing & Public Health (OHWPH)function, along with some support and absence cover for UK & I OH services and the interfacing between our 3rd party occupational health providers for UK&I (our supply sites/global functions) as a whole.
About the role:
The purpose of the role is to provide business support to the GlobalHead of Occupational Health, Public Health & Wellbeing and the Team. The role is responsible for the co-ordination and implementation of global occupational health, public health and wellbeing strategies and processes to employees.
The Occupational Health, Wellbeing & Public Health (OHWPH) Service covers our global employees and includes the direct provision of OH services to employees located throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. Intermittent travel may be required between sites on occasions for partner meetings.
There is no budgetary responsibility within this role.
Business Support:
- Act as the OHWPH team global communication lead, bridging the gap between the OHWPH team and the business, delivering mass OHWPH information, cascading to Diageo geographical locations, e.g. Public Health factsheets via Viva Engage communities.
- Connect globally with colleagues connecting on all things relating to OHWPH, maturing the businesses understanding and raising standards
- Co-ordinate the annual UK & Europe Flu Vaccination Reimbursement Programme working with finance, communications, reward and country teams to ensure year on year engagement
- Deliver UK&I OH Service Contract Management Support when required: To ensure 3rd party providers OH&W services are appropriately performed and delivered. Resolution Management - Act as an interface/point of contact between Diageo (HR/Managers) and the Occupational Health 3rd party suppliers resolving issues of concern. Vendor performance and continuous improvement - Act as an interface to optimise vendor performance to ensure value.
Data and Analytical
- Deliver global OHWPH data analytics including dashboards and assist UK&I OH team with their review of 3rd party supplier data analytics - key performance metrics /management information if required. Support the UK&I OH team with to update and integrate Occupational Health management information and wellbeing data with internal workforce data where support is requested.
- Communication and engagement: Organise and schedule Global OHWPH team business engagement activities; develop and update OHWPH team Mosaic pages and related Viva Engage information.
- Administrative activities: Manage the Global Occupational Health & Wellbeing team mailbox activities, ensuring responses to all emails/enquiries are undertaken in a timely manner. Cover the UK&I OH mailbox during absences. Co-ordinate file management systems, assume responsibility for admin related financial support - e.g., purchase orders/ invoices. Support the OHW leadership team to complete their admin duties when required

Global Health & Wellbeing and Public Health support:
Assisting with the development and delivery of the global health & wellbeing/public health programmes through the following:
- Attending global public health (WHO epi win) & wellbeing webinars and meetings (as appropriate)
- Undertaking research (monthly public health/annual global health review and adhoc) for the delivery/planning/organising related workstreams, events or campaigns as appropriate;
- Deliver evidence-based physical and mental health resources
- assist with the scoping, planning and delivery of wellbeing activity and benchmarking/award submissions (e.g. CCLA);
- develop communications and engagement assets and materials;
- develop and update OHWPH Mosaic pages;
Assist with health surveillance planning programme (ad hoc to cover team absence) when required
Liaise with Diageo's 3rd party OH provider and the business to plan health surveillance schedules/ appointments, to support the timely delivery of the heath assessment/surveillance programme.
Including:
- Liaising with the site planners to formulate and co-ordinate health surveillance schedules.
- Reviewing, analysing and monitoring schedule reports from the 3rd party provider, taking responsibility for the fulfilment of schedules.
- Assisting the 3rd party provider in the development of the 12-month health surveillance and health assessment forecast and provide guidance to support the compilation building of the annual health surveillance plan.
- Monitoring 3rd party provider delivery performance and, where required, raise concerns and provide support for improved ways of working.
- Reviewing Joiners, Movers, and Leavers (JML) report and update schedule for joiners/ leavers.
Experience / skills required:
Public Health or Business Graduate calibre ideally with experience of working within an OH environment
- Motivated by new challenges, tenacious, resilient with ability to adapt quickly to change
- Occupational Health, Wellbeing or Public Health co-ordination experience
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain good working relationships at various levels, resolving issues autonomously
- Confident and articulate in dealing with collaborators at all levels
- Excellent data analytics and problem-solving skills, with the ability to search out, manipulate and analyse data to drive valuable insights with accurate processing skills.
- Excellent business management and finance skills, ability to effectively prioritise, plan and manage workload to completion, results orientated, ensuring that deadlines are met without the need for close supervision and often operating within time and resource constraints
- Ability to drive improvements across business processes
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications particularly with Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, Teams and design software packages.
- Pays close attention to detail, applying high standards to all aspects of work.
- Demonstrates high level of integrity and discretion
- Flexible style, able to work at pace and accurately under pressure
- Graduate Degree or equivalent - preferable Public Health or Business Studies Graduate
