Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the event channel plan, ensuring achievement of both commercial results and growth in building Diageo's brands.
- Ensure management and development of strategic partnerships with key producers and event agencies regionally through investment management and ROI tracking.
- Deliver brand experiences at events to support recruiting new consumers and growing consumption on these occasions by working collaboratively with Marketing, Customer Marketing, and the commercial team on the ground.
- Define strategic portfolios and sales accelerators by event segment and region, playing a key role in crafting brand plans for the channel.
- Provide crucial tools and knowledge for the event commercial team by supporting event executives in negotiations while encouraging partnership relationships across Brazil.
Responsibilities Include:
Management: Channel strategy & performance delivery within fiscal year.
Analysis:
- Analyze channel performance against key KPIs: execution, coverage (#events & #producers), NSV (Net Sales Value), GP (Gross Profit), %GP
- Act as an ambassador for responsible consumption at events - ensuring Drink IQ policy application among all event producers & indirect partners.
- Ensure all activations & layouts developed for events align with regulations.
- Guarantee compliance adherence within regional rules by producers & teams.
- Budget Control: Lead commercial investments focused on Trade Spend & Advertising/Promotion.
- Customer Management: Handle distributors & wholesalers authorized to indirectly market Diageo products via events alongside responsible commercial teams & regional managers.
- CMO/Trade:
- Deliver brand experiences at events supporting consumer recruitment/increased consumption while collaborating closely with Marketing/CMO/commercial teams.
- Define strategic portfolios/sales accelerators by segment/region; crucially give towards developing brand plans/channels.
- Strategy: Lead channel development aiming expansion/activation of Diageo Portfolio; enhance partner relations/profitability contributing towards financial outcomes.
- M&E (Monitoring & Evaluation): Track all Event critical metrics defined under BPM (execution/events count/nsv/gp/%gp). Ensure pre/post M&E activity alignment.
Required Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor's degree completed.
- Experience within commercial or Customer Marketing roles at FMCG companies.
- Prior experience developing channel strategies.
- Previous participation in large projects or project management experience.
- Fluency in English & Portuguese; Spanish is an advantage.
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Availability to work nights/weekends if needed.
- Leadership skills negotiating distributors/event agencies/handling partners efficiently inspire teams including remote ones develop/apply new knowledge business acumen/basic finance understanding relationship/influence internal/external leaders analytical efficient execution advanced Excel PowerPoint skills travel availability up-to 50% time
