Cost controlling and analysis :
- Own and manage the financial control and reporting for designated cost centers and functional expense areas (e.g. COGS, Logistics, Overheads etc)
- Perform detailed monthly cost analysis, investigating and explaining variances.
- Challenge cost owners on their actual spending providing transparency and driving cost awareness and accountability across the market.
- Identify and lead initiatives for cost optimization and efficiency improvements working collaboratively with operational teams.
Inventory accounting and Control:
- Ensure the accuracy and timely valuation of inventory in the general ledger.
- Lead the monthly inventory reconciliation process, ensuring alignment between the financial ledger and subledgers systems.
- Manage and monitor the standard costing process including the periodic review and update of standard costs.
- Coordinate and control the cycle count and physical inventory processes investigating and reconciling any discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory KPI (e.g. DIO, write-offs) and provide insights to the teams supply chain and logistics.
- Ensure all provisions are accurately recorded in accordance with IFRS / Local GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
Trade spend & provisions management:
- Own the end-to-end accounting and control for all trade spend provisions based on contracted terms, sales data and estimate performance.
- Ensure all provisions are accurately recorded in accordance with IFRS / Local GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
- Partner with the sales and Marketing teams to validate the real trade spend liabilities and ensure financial impacts are understood and planned for.
- Review the reconciliation the trade spends liability account and lead the clearance of old, obsolete items.
Intercompany pricing setting & compliance
- Manage the process for setting and updating intercompany transfers prices for stock in close collaboration with Tax, supply chain and all of departments.
- Maintain the master data for ICSP to ensure accuracy in financial postings.
- Ensure full compliance with the groups global transfer pricing policy and relevant local tax regulation.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for intercompany transactions for internal and external audit purposes.
- Monitor intercompany account balances and support the timely reconciliation and settlement of intercompany positions.
Day to day management of the respective Profit and Loss / Balance sheet area from accounting, reporting and controlling perspective.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the month end close process for all responsible areas, preparing and posting necessary journals entries and accruals.
- Actively participate in internal and external audits providing requested information and implemented agreed-upon action plans.
- Provide decision support for business partners to optimize the business unit's financial performance within the overall corporate strategy. Delivering value add analysis, thorough understanding of movements on accounts, the business reason behind those, and collection and presentation of risks & opportunities.
- Interpret reports and data using some techniques and tools and communicates to business and financial colleagues, providing technical support and advice to business partners. Continuously monitor the respective P&L and/or BS accounts for any inconsistencies.
- Develop, present and champion recommendations to business unit teams on actions to drive business results.
- Ensure that financial processes are undertaken accurately, efficiently, on time and that the surrounding internal control procedures are strictly adhered to in line with global processes and standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, controls, compliance and adherence to global standards and procedures.
- End to end process accountability for low to mid complex/risk markets/stakeholders.
- Specific ownership of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
- Keep Process Documentation actualized and accurate.
