Purpose of the role:
The main purpose is to enable Diageo substantial growth and competitive advantage and to drive value for our consumers by developing a financial business partnership with Marketing BUs and pursuing attainable performance goals.
The Finance Business Partner Tequila role is responsible for driving the financial growth agenda across Marketing Tequila Business Unit, providing strategic and tactical insights based on operational performance, industry dynamics, macroeconomic trends and competitor landscape. The individual in this role will also handle and support business planning by providing financial analysis and ensuring alignment to portfolio strategy and the company's long-term vision.
The Finance Business Partner represents a key asset to Business Unit's growth, not just providing financial performance information. More importantly, making a step up as business partner, defining opportunities and avenues of growth alongside with Marketing interested parties and commercial teams.
Accountabilities:
- Leads revenue growth agenda for Tequila portfolio, providing strategic and tactical insights based on operational performance, industry dynamics, macroeconomic trends and competitor landscape, sharing business opportunities and risks within Marketing team members.
- Leads the A&P investment agenda within Tequila portfolio, ensuring all investments are aligned to business priorities and are focused on growth.
- Provides guidance for prioritization decisions, guaranteeing alignment to portfolio strategy and financial metrics, while identifying avenues for growth.
- Represents Finance function at IBP monthly sessions, ensuring the financial targets are in compliance with Tequila BU's business priorities.
- Leads ad hoc projects as required, as part of the business strategy execution.
- Works as a Business Growth strategic partner that ensures within commercial teams that Marketing initiatives are correctly performed as planned.
- Handles communication with essential departments (Marketing, FP&A, Supply, Demand Planning) to ensure accurate forecasting and achievement of business goals.
Key Skills & Experience required
- Bachelors in BA, Finance, Economist, or Similar.
- 3+ years finance experience
- Financial and commercial background that enables to deploy financial assessments, applying judgement and providing insights on outcomes.
- Critical thinking & strategic approach capabilities with sound business judgment that sees connections in data, events and trends
- Proactively shares knowledge and findings to others.
- Demonstrates perseverance and resilience in the pursuit of goals.
- Key Partners management: Comfortable with working cross functionally and cross culturally to deliver results.
- Flexible: embraces and adapts well to change.
- Strong presentation skills.
- English and Spanish proficiency.
