About the Role
The Distribution Replenishment Planner's (DRP) primary role is to manage stock movements across the supply chain network, maintaining optimal stock cover at each of the locations (plants and warehouses), ensuring minimum distribution costs.
The role includes planning and coordination of stock transfers among the network nodes (including 3rd parties) in collaboration with production sites and Supply Planning teams.
Responsibility for planning of supply of imported products with manufacturing plants, 3PL's, carriers, customs, etc.
Role Responsibilities
Managing Distribution Planning (DRP) - Imports
- Rolling 18-month shipment plan for all imported spirits (Weekly and Monthly buckets)
- Reporting of KPIs, monthly calls, weekly health tracker and/or risk assessments, SKU exceptions.
- Coordination of supply of imported products with manufacturing plants and logistics team
- Manage for value across the Market's Supply Chain (E.g., minimise write-offs, double handling, etc.)
- Act as Single point of contact to the ISC Supply Centres & Demand for supply of product into market to ensure product continuity
Managing Distribution Planning (DRP) - Local Production
- Continuously link with production sites to coordinate an efficient and prompt flow of products through the network.
- Keep a detailed control of all stock movements across the network
- Set up stock transfer orders (STO's) through SAP PO to fulfil stock requirements in each node.
- The successful daily monitoring of sales & OOS stock with the intention of improving customer service.
Process, communication and performance management
- Identify risks and/or opportunities to the overall supply plan and execute necessary changes and communicate effectively to key stakeholders
- Responsible for maintaining consistent inventory management practices in line with meeting demand requirements, identifying solutions to mitigate risks and improve overall tracking.
- Conduct root cause analysis of multiple information streams
- Manage the phasing in & out of products during its product life cycle
- Management of slow-moving stock with the objective of minimising the write-off of obsolete finished products
- Monthly Supply Review input for imported produced spirit
Experience / skills required
- Experience working within the Production or Distribution Planning process
- Consumer Packaged Goods Industry preferred.
- Experience with advanced planning software within Supply Planning (SAP APO system and Business Intelligence/BW )
- Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent in appropriate supply chain, mathematical, Logistics, engineering, or business degree APICS CPIM / CSCP or equivalent desirable
- Baseline understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes; Supply Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Inventory Planning, Conversion, Logistics, Procurement and Customer Service
- Strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.
- Good communication skills - verbal, written and presentation.
- Proficient in MS applications e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
