About The Role

As part of Diageo France, you'll join a high-performing and forward-thinking team focused on strengthening our position as an industry leader. Our ambition is to deliver outstanding service, value, and sustainable growth by driving world-class performance for our customers.

Based in our Paris office, the Demand Planner plays a key role in shaping our supply chain strategy. You'll use your expertise to maintain accurate data, produce reliable forecasts, and work closely with the Commercial teams across Diageo France to align demand planning with business objectives.

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing statistical forecasts, ensuring data accuracy, and continuously improving forecast reliability. You'll also support the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and help maintain the integrity of our weekly demand forecasts, ultimately driving efficiency across the supply chain.

  • Sales Forecast Accuracy - Monthly and Weekly


  • Sales Forecast Bias


  • System KPIs - Data Maintenance


  • Case Fill Rate (CFR)


Financial and Operational Scope:

  • Responsibility for the assigned market: France


Top Accountabilities:

Generate baseline statistical demand forecast for a rolling period of at least 18 months:

  • Use and maintain APO software as the primary forecasting system tool


  • Collaborate with the IBP team on all forecast history cleaning activities, including documenting adjustments and assumptions (market trends, seasonality, promotions)


  • Maintain statistical parameters to ensure a "best fit" model and generate a rolling baseline forecast


  • Maintain APO master data, including CVC creation, disaggregation factors, and attribute updates


  • Analyse outliers using appropriate reports and make vital corrections


  • Adjust weekly phasing of the demand plan as required, considering factors such as promotions, holidays, price changes, and other planning events


  • Provide reports and insights to stakeholders to maximize the use and impact of the baseline forecast


Collaborate effectively with all Market Stakeholders:

  • Lead the Demand Review stage of the IBP process to align on a consensus forecast and support decision-making


  • Gather demand driver insights from the Commercial team and incorporate them into the enriched forecast


  • Act as the single point of contact for the Supply Chain within in-country Commercial teams


Continuously improve the forecasting process:

  • Test and implement new forecasting models


  • Apply best practices and support the development of forecasting tools


  • Collaborate with the Commercial team to conduct root cause analyses, identifying key drivers of forecast error


  • Work jointly to implement corrective actions that drive ongoing improvements in forecast accuracy and bias performance


About You

We are looking for someone who brings a blend of analytical thinking, planning expertise and strong collaboration skills to help shape the future of our supply chain. You'll thrive in a fast paced environment and be passionate about making data-driven decisions that deliver real impact.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has an understanding of supply chain planning processes - including supply planning, inventory management, and logistics


  • Demonstrates confidence in working with data, with experience in forecasting methodologies and statistical analysis


  • Is proficient in planning tools such as SAP APO, SAP BW, and Excel


  • Communicates clearly and effectively, with excellent organisation and stakeholder management skills


  • Experience in demand and/or supply chain planning, ideally within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry


  • Holds a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, mathematics, engineering, or a related business field
