About the Role
The Demand Planner is a key role within the IBP (Integrated Business Planning) process, responsible for generating robust, data-driven statistical forecasts using advanced planning tools and methodologies. This includes incorporating key demand drivers such as category trends, pricing, promotions, market share, inventory levels, and external economic factors. This role plays a critical part in enabling high forecast accuracy and bias performance, supporting decision-making across functions and ensuring alignment with commercial, financial, and supply chain plans. It is also a key enabler of the market's journey toward digital and data-led planning, leveraging AI/ML tools and demand sensing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the statistical forecast for the market, driving continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and bias.
• Maintain and improve forecast models using AI, machine learning, and multivariate analysis.
• Clean and adjust historical data in collaboration with IBP Leads to ensure high-quality inputs.
• Generate and maintain a rolling 18-month forecast that integrates statistical baselines, assumptions, and business insights.
• Conduct root cause analysis of forecast deviations and implement corrective actions.

• Support scenario planning for promotions, innovation, macroeconomic events, and other demand-shaping factors.
• Lead planning system master data, including product hierarchies and disaggregation rules.
• Produce insights and reports to advise key customers and influence planning decisions.
• Actively participate in key planning forums such as Demand Reviews and S&OE, ensuring alignment across commercial and supply teams.
• Drive simplification and digitization of the demand planning process, minimizing manual intervention and ensuring system integrity.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to lead risks and opportunities in the demand plan.
• Give to continuous improvement of planning processes, tools, and governance.
Key Interfaces
This role operates within a very complex and evolving network with the following dimensions:
Monthly cross functional collaboration with interdisciplinary departments and country Exec.
All SC&P interfaces (function, category)
Global IBP Process Owners
Digital tools such as APO/OMP, Anaplan
Required Experience and Capabilities
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Demand Planning and/or IBP in a CPG/FMCG environment.
• Confirmed experience with statistical forecasting tools and techniques, including AI/ML integration.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning processes.
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking.
• Ability to translate data and trends into actionable business insights.
• Advanced Excel and planning system proficiency (e.g., SAP APO, OMP, Anaplan, BI tools).
• Strong partner management and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Track record of improving forecast accuracy and reducing bias.
Preferred Qualifications
• BSc in Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or Economics.
• Experience with digital control towers, demand sensing, and analytics tools is highly desirable.
