Our Supply Chain and Manufacturing team are problem-solvers, sourcing, producing, and delivering our much-loved brands to delight customers around the globe. About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Business Planning Analyst, who can be based in either Amsterdam, Netherlands or Edinburgh Park, Scotland. In this role, you will partner closely with both category and regional teams to support and embed key Business Planning strategies and priorities, including Inventory Management, Strategic Material Management, Supply Chain Resilience and Strategic Planning.
You will play a vital role in enabling the successful delivery of business objectives through strong data-driven insights and collaboration. This position requires a proactive attitude with strong problem-solving capabilities and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Global Inventory Management
- Improve, maintain, and evolve dashboards to generate actionable insights
- Identify key drivers contributing to the generation of SLOBS
IOP (Inventory Operating Plan) Maintenance
- Ensure high levels of data accuracy and timeliness during cycle operations
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement in partnership with Key Users
- Analyse opportunities for safety stock reduction between UTL and IOP
Strategic Material Management
- Complete stock surgery processes using automated datasets to highlight write-off opportunities
- Collaborate with regional teams and MPR category stakeholders to understand forecast changes, assess potential impacts, and develop mitigation plans
- Segmentation
- Partner with category and regional teams to define and implement segmentation strategies
- Lead enhancements to the hold segmentation process on a biannual basis
- Facilitate strategic discussions to categorise SKUs effectively across Diageo's global footprint

Experience & Skills
- Experience in business planning, supply chain analytics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Excellent project management skills, with a proactive and dedicated attitude
- Confident in presenting data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated leadership in driving continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Engineering, Finance
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in tools such as APO, SAP, Power BI, SQL Management, or Databricks
- Familiarity with Python and tools such as Alteryx
- Strong working knowledge of supply chain systems, analytics platforms and reporting tools
