About the role

Qualification:

• MBA /Engineer

Experience:

• Procurement experience of around 4-6 years in FMCG or related industry; manufacturing, contract and financial management skills mandatory

Knowledge & skills: • Strong commercial acumen & negotiating skills
• Excellent data management skills
• Ability to build good relationship & influencing skills with people
• Good understanding of should-costs and relevant information on drivers for the category
• Long term value creation

Best suited for someone who• Likes to work with data and is extremely analytical
• Has a strong commercial focus
• Brings an external focus to work, by being constantly updated on developments and innovations in the external world
• Is able to build good working relationships with internal stakeholders
• Hardnosed when it comes to commercial negotiations with parties
• Constantly seeks to improve things and create new standards at work

Cost Management & Savings

• Frame and implement cost containment strategies into supplier negotiations and contracts
• Develop and apply Pricing Strategies using best negotiation techniques
• Secure long-term contracts for stability of services and supplies
• Drive & land cost reduction initiatives specific to category working with Make Team, etc for effective leveraging of Prices, efficiency improvement etc
• Develop & land synergies through specific interventions in functional metrics to reduce and optimise Opex expenses • Rate Variance on MRO supplies & Service contracts for manufacturing sites
• Long term price stability
• Productivity improvement & savings

Service effectiveness & Risk Management

• Ensure Vendors delivers on all contracted terms during tenure of agreement
• Co-create new methodologies and initiatives by working with Make to land Pricing expectations basis market trends and opportunities
• Develop & execute supplier performance management across vendors, land tracking mechanisms on Performance • Contract adherence & compliance on terms & conditions

Ensure meeting of Customer Quality expectations

• Ensure and control supply quality as per internal customer requirements
• Execute the customer feedback received from the internal and external stakeholders on customer satisfaction
• Improve and augment supply pool to provide best-in-class quality & supply capability within supply pool
• Collaborate with internal customers and external suppliers to bring about transformational projects serving customer requirements like IFM, MRO Aggregation, etc

• Qualitative Supply Assessments

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with all the internal customer teams including manufacturing as well as legal/ finance support functions
• Ensure the contracts factor all internal requirements and ensure subsequent supply is well-serviced and managed
• Ensure quality requirements are met, regulatory aspects and changes thereof are implemented without disruption of supplies ensuring minimal write-offs
• Manage key external Vendors for long term stability on Pricing and Service and ensure DI is a preferred Customer by securing advantageous terms• Customer Satisfaction feedback
• Analysts are individual contributors
• Requires conceptual knowledge in own area of expertise; develops practical experience
• Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work
• No supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance to new analysts/associates
• Solves standard problems by identifying solutions based on standard practices
• Impacts quality of own work; works within guidelines and policies
• Explains information to others in straightforward situations
