Global Network Engineering is part of the Infrastructure Core Products organization and responsible for providing global solutions and standards for Deutsche Bank's large-scale network infrastructure. Transport Engineering is partnering with Senior Architecture leaders and other technology teams to align Network, Security, Enterprise, Domain and Solution architecture.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be engineering, testing and documenting large scale network solutions before handing them over for implementation. Your area of expertise will be Datacenter networks where you excel in designing overlay and underlay networks as well as closely work with the team on designing software defined networks.

What You'll Do
  • Design new network infrastructure and develop global standards
  • Work with Engineering teams on security certifications and other technical certifications to make your new technology safe and sound for production
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, gather requirements and determine solutions.
  • Presentation of designs and standards to business leaders, and run lab scenarios to certify technical solutions
  • Guide deployment teams for pilot installations, and training fellow engineers and Operations teams on new technologies and designs
  • Work with Engineering teams on security certifications and other technical certifications to make your new technology safe and sound for production

Skills You'll Need
  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Business Information Science or related field.
  • Solid experience in Network Design and Architecture, senior design and engineering experience developing network solutions for large enterprise environments.
  • Proven track record to design large-scale DWDM and WAN/MAN network solutions, including POC testing, HLD/LLD documentation, 3rd level operational support, product training and handover.
  • Engineering-level knowledge of 2 or more of the following vendors/products:

  • Cisco WAN / MAN Technology
  • ADVA DWDM (or equivalent DWDM product)
  • Nexus Data Broker
  • Cisco Software License Server

Skills to Help you Excel
  • Variety of Cisco network certifications is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced skillset in Network Design and Architecture, senior design and engineering
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is$100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
