TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

Location: 560 Mission Street, 13th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94105. Telecommuting permissible from any location within US.

Salary: $180,960 - $200,400/year; 40 hours/week

Job Description: Partner with Product Managers, Solution Architects and Engineering peers to define, analyze, estimate levels of effort to deliver at-scale solutions to meet business requirements. Help structure the COE processes around intake, governance etc. under the guidance of a development manager. Develop RPA using UiPath; develop UiPath best practices, roadmaps, reusable components, governance, and groom newer developers. Collaborate with business and Technical SMEs to define automations, business rules, and exceptions. Perform feasibility analysis, architecture design, process design, solutions design, development, testing, deployment, and support of various RPA automation use cases. Perform product/platform upgrades, license/capacity planning, 3rd party integrations, evolve the Tech ecosystem of UiPath and add new components based upon our needs, best practices, and industry trends. Support the production platform and deployments of UiPath. Works closely with the business systems analyst to vet out design and other critical application decisions. Creates and updates user stories with the latest information and status. Conduct code review with peers to ensure adherence to requirements and coding standards. Estimate development efforts and provide guidance on development timelines, risks, and constraints. Contribute to and author technical design documents (TDD) and process design documents (PDD). Identify and create reusable automation components and ensure consistency in design across use-cases. Perform process automations on Web interface application, desktop application, Citrix, and Cloud applications. Architect scalable and efficient RPA workflows, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. Integrate RPA solutions with existing systems and applications through APIs, databases, and other methods. Diagnose and resolve issues in RPA solutions, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of automated processes. Implement bot throughput logging, auditing, and exception handling. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) with business and IT. Telecommuting permissible from any location within US .

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of how RPA works, with a strong focus on UiPath.
  • Programming concepts and proficiency in either VB.NET or C# for custom coding and script execution in UiPath.
  • Integrating databases (SQL, Oracle) and retrieving/storing data.
  • Consuming APIs (SOAP, Rest, Orchestrator) and integrating web services within UiPath workflows.
  • RE-framework for Designing and Implementing UiPath Workflow
  • Different SDLC methodologies like Agile, waterfall to manage incremental changes and improvements in the RPA environment.
  • Ability to analyze processes and identify areas that can be automated.
  • Ability to create and manage reports on bot activities to demonstrate compliance and skills in configuring UiPath Orchestrator with security best practices.
  • Change Management skills to setup and maintain a change control process to manage updates, upgrades, or modifications in the RPA environment.

  • Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science or related Field and four (4) years of experience in Robotic Process Automation related role or in the job offered.

    Base Pay Information

    The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
    Pay Grade 22. $180,960 - $200,400
