The Senior Manager Contract System Configuration is a strategic, future-oriented leader that oversees the end-to-end activities associated with the management of the Contract System Configuration functions for the enterprise. The Manager is responsible for driving the most efficient technical solutions while providing strategic future state vison. The Senior manager has managers as direct reports and develops and implements strategies to support organizational goals and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Leads manger(s) and their teams in the development and maintenance of system configurations to execute enterprise contracts with varied degrees of complexity for clients, capabilities and products.
- Represents Contract System Configuration for both departmental and company-wide initiatives; Actively provides direction and participates in both the development and execution of projects.
- Develops, plans and executes strategies that align with enterprise and department goals. Partners with leaders across the enterprise to implement strategic initiatives, leading cross-functional teams, setting expectations and ensuring roles and responsibilities are understood.
- Oversees the vendor relationship and communicates business needs and system design options for enhancements and/or defect fixes; Ensures delivery of the enhancement meets business needs.
- Provides support for planning of new applications and other system infrastructure to identify gaps with existing system capabilities and opportunities available in new applications under review; Evaluates viability within existing application processing and workflow and directs prospective analysis of existing applications and other system infrastructure to identify continuous improvement and potential enhancement opportunities.
- Establishes, maintains, and works to strengthen relationships with various stakeholders across key areas. Identifies opportunities for teams to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversees the development of new programs and services to align process and gain efficiencies. Ties current department processes and initiatives to the strategic roadmap and vision to ensure the department is set up for success.
- Evaluates the performance of the department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity while ensuring adherence to the budget.
- Ensures work and projects are completed within schedules and budgets and takes corrective action, as needed.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years w/Bachelor's degree; 1+ years supervisory/management
Additional Experience
- Direct leadership experience with system configuration in support of contract and/or product operations highly preferred

- Knowledge of Delta Dental products, policies, claims, eligibility and underwriting procedures and guidelines
- High level of knowledge of Current Dental Terminology (“CDT”) codes and dental nomenclature
- High level of knowledge of contract system configuration concepts, systems and dental policy processing guidelines
- Knowledge of health care industry issues
- Ability to effectively adapt to change and is comfortable handling risk and uncertainty
- PC literacy; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present written information and findings; ability to communicate concepts; ability to make executive-level presentations
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact well with all levels of staff, co-workers and outside contacts
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 24. $122,400 - $265,100
