Quality Engineer

Alpharetta, GA

(This position embraces a flexible hybrid working model, allowing for significant remote work opportunities. However, weekly in-office visits will occur for team meetings, office celebrations, and specific project requirements. A candidate residing near Alpharetta, GA would be highly preferred)

The Quality Engineer will work along side both business and technical team members to ensure the usability and functionality of products, services and systems. This role will contribute to the overall organization by working to deliver quality standards using the team's testing systems to ensure efficiency, reliability and performance. Your work will also contribute to the organization's overall strategic plan to maintain and improve production quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews requirements and specifications and provides feedback
  • Creates detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Prioritizes, plans and coordinates testing activities
  • Executes test cases and / or automation scripts
  • Identifies and documents defects thoroughly
  • Performs thorough regression testing
  • Installs, configures and maintains testing programs
  • Applies test standards and testing processes (i.e. SDLC, Agile)
  • Investigates and document the causes of routine defects
  • Tracks quality assurance metrics like defect totals, type and frequency and create test summary reports

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in software automation testing with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
  • Proficient in Java is required.
  • Experience with Selenium is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of QA principles, concepts, systems, industry practices, and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $69,999.72 - $146,600
