Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer will work alongside both business and technical team members to ensure the usability and functionality of products, services and systems, specifically in our Salesforce applications and environment. This role will contribute to the overall organization by working to deliver quality standards using the team's testing systems to ensure efficiency, reliability and performance. Your work will also contribute to the organization's overall strategic plan to maintain and improve production quality.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews requirements and specifications and provides feedback.
• Creates detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Prioritizes, plans and coordinates testing activities.
• Executes test cases and / or automation scripts.
• Identifies and documents defects thoroughly.
• Performs thorough regression testing.
• Installs, configures and maintains testing programs.
• Applies test standards and testing processes (i.e. SDLC, Agile).
• Investigates and document the causes of routine defects.
• Tracks quality assurance metrics like defect totals, type and frequency and create test summary reports.

Qualifications:

• At least 2+ years of experience along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge of QA principles, concepts, systems, industry practices, and standards.
• Development of automated test cases to cover the overall functionality using Web driver IO, Protractor, Jasmine framework, Selenium, MongoDB, and Cypress Jira integration for results updating.
• Experience working on Salesforce.com (SFDC), an on- demand CRM tool and tested various salesforce application standard objects like Accounts, Contacts, Cases, Leads, Campaigns, Reports and Dashboards.
  Test case preparation with Cucumber and Gherkin syntax for API coverage based on the Karate framework
• Worked with service cloud technology and on-premise infrastructure integration for salesforce.com.
• Tested and wrote queries on Salesforce CRM tools work flow to test the repeatable process to eliminate inefficiencies and enhance productivity.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 20. $71,400 - $149,500
