The Provider Onboarding Specialist is responsible for accurately reviewing and maintaining provider contract and credential information within the Provider System of Record. This role ensures the integrity of provider data and supports the resolution of system or process issues related to provider onboarding.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the integrity of the provider database by processing provider contracts, business name and tax ID changes, terminations, ownership changes, practice sales, associate additions, license and specialty updates, and directory information.
- Communicate with providers and Network Development to obtain missing or incomplete information required for onboarding and maintenance.
- Research and resolve returned outreach notifications, updating systems to ensure provider directory accuracy.
- Serve as a resource to internal teams regarding provider setup, contracting procedures, and best practices.
- Investigate and troubleshoot provider contracting or workflow issues, providing recommendations to management for process improvement.
- Ensure all data entries meet accuracy and compliance standards to prevent regulatory or financial risks.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive provider and business information.
- Participate in monthly team meetings and organizational events if the employee is located near the Alpharetta, GA or Rancho Cordova, CA offices.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare or dental provider onboarding experience required; 2+ years preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Analytical thinker with effective problem-solving abilities.
- Working knowledge of contract and policy processing concepts, procedures, and systems.
- Ability to quickly learn new processes, legal requirements, and technologies.
- Adaptable to change with comfort managing risk and uncertainty.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 14. $36,900 - $74,600
