The Quality Engineer will work along side both business and technical team members to ensure the usability and functionality of products, services and systems. This role will contribute to the overall organization by working to deliver quality standards using the team's testing systems to ensure efficiency, reliability and performance. Your work will also contribute to the organization's overall strategic plan to maintain and improve production quality.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews requirements and specifications and provides feedback
- Creates detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Prioritizes, plans and coordinates testing activities
- Executes test cases and / or automation scripts
- Identifies and documents defects thoroughly
- Performs thorough regression testing
- Installs, configures and maintains testing programs
- Applies test standards and testing processes (i.e. SDLC, Agile)
- Investigates and document the causes of routine defects
- Tracks quality assurance metrics like defect totals, type and frequency and create test summary reports

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Knowledge of IVR automation software Cyara
- Ability to interpret IVR VUIs (Call Flows)
- Must have worked with NLU based IVR application
- Work experience with MS Dynamic 365 Contact Center with Copilot Studio for the IVR development or any CCaaS platform based IVR system must.
- Proficiency with the Spanish Testing preferred but not necessary
- Experience with CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins, Chef, Bamboo, etc.
- Experience with SQL, XML and JSON
- Experience with source code version control, Git, SVN, etc.
- Experience using defect tracking systems, JIRA
- Experience with test management and reporting tools, such as Quality Center, Zephyr or qTest
- Creating and/or auditing test scripts based on technical documentation, User Interface Design (UID), and user story acceptance criteria
- Providing testing estimation in the form of story points for assigned product/features
- Creating test plans for functional and user acceptance testing
- Executing test cases with integration test data to validate feature functionality
- Documenting the testing results and preparing execution documentation for sign-off
- Text to speech validations from QA point of view are tested and verified for product owner and business.
- Ensuring all requirements are tested by preparing test scenario traceability matrix
- Analyzing failed test cases to identify failure points or external causes (e.g. bad test data, missed requirements, UID inaccuracies, code)
- Collaborating with product owners and technical team to document associated defects
- Validating fixes for defects through additional testing
- Performing regression testing to ensure product integrity after modifications, enhancements, and/or defect fixes are made to existing functionality
- Knowledge of industry standards, quality control techniques and procedures.
- Excellent data analysis skills with strong problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of quality assurance and production technologies.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 20. $71,400 - $149,500
