Delta Air Lines is excited to offer an exceptional co-op opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join Crew Resources Ops and Reliability Technical Support Team. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our application management by creating a comprehensive and user-friendly health dashboard. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop a dashboard that provides real-time insights into our application's performance, reliability, and overall health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to understand application architecture and key performance indicators
  • Design and develop a highly intuitive and informative application health dashboard
  • Implement data visualization tools and techniques to effectively display real-time application metrics
  • Ensure the dashboard is user-friendly and tailored to the needs of various stakeholders, including technical and non-technical personnel
  • Continuously gather feedback and iterate on the dashboard design to improve functionality and user experience
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in dashboard design and data visualization

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Graphic Design, Data Science, or a related field
  • Must be available for three alternating semesters
  • Students must be able to complete the below schedule while actively enrolled in school: Fall 2024, Summer 2025, Spring 2026
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and data visualization
  • Knowledge of dashboard design tools and software
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with database systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Experience working with the Smartsheet and PowerBi platforms, including design, development, and maintenance of Smartsheet automation and design
  • Comfortable working in group and individual settings
  • Ability to develop effective presentations that help explain the background, analysis, results, and recommendations to leaders in an efficient and effective manner
  • Desire to learn more about the airline industry and interest in Delta as a company
