Our Deloitte Strategy & Transactions team helps guide clients through their most critical moments and transformational initiatives. From strategy to execution, this team delivers integrated, end-to-end support and advisory services covering valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and sustainability. Work alongside clients every step of the way, helping them navigate new challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and provide practical solutions at every stage of their journey-before, during, and after any major transformational projects or transactions.

Work You'll Do

Sustainability Strategy projects focus on crafting sustainability strategies for commercial organizations to provide the greatest return and value for all stakeholder groups. We architect and implement integrated sustainability strategies and transformation programs that drive long-term client value and enable clients to manage risk.

Senior Manager level responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Engagement Management: Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk
  • Client Management: Manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors
  • Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies
  • Practice Development & Eminence: Develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop "thoughtware" and "point-of-view" documents; participate in public speaking events; get published in industry periodicals
  • People Development: Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices

Our Sustainability Strategy team comprises leading business and impact strategy experts that each contribute unique capabilities and insights - including climate change, renewable energy, supply chain, corporate governance, risk assessment, measurement & valuation, reporting & assurance. Our Team brings together decades of experience with leading-edge societal impact organizations, world-class strategy, organizational design, measurement and evaluation, and implementation consulting capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of professional work experience, with 2+ years of experience functioning as a Senior Manager in a Consulting environment with experience focused on Corporate & Business Unit Strategy, Business Transformation and Sustainability Strategy
  • 8+ years of experience in Healthcare and Life Sciences across commercial operations in a project environment
  • 8+ years of experience in defining trends in Healthcare and Life Sciences and articulating their impact to clients' business and strategic choices, particularly as it relates to sustainability, strategy, transformation, and opportunities for innovation
  • 8+ years of experience working with senior executives crafting and implementing strategies to transform a client's business
  • 1+ years of experience driving both the sales cycle - by taking the lead in framing out client opportunities and leading the pursuit team to create the proposal content for client discussions
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience creating strategy program roadmaps and detailed financial business cases for change
  • Experience and comfort in using analytical methods to create project analyses and recommendation support
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with leading and emerging sustainability and carbon disclosure methodologies, frameworks, and reporting mechanisms (e.g., IPCC, GHG Protocol, SBTi, FLAG, GRI, SASB, CDP, etc.).
  • Advanced degree in the area of specialization (MBA Preferred)
