Work You'll Do

The Strategic Communications Specialist role is focused on supporting and enhancing communications efforts for both internal and external stakeholders within a client-facing environment. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on content development, and cross-functional collaboration

  • Support a team in developing and implementing communications for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Employ strategic thinking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to recognize opportunities for enhanced comms that improve understanding, accountability, and consistency of information
  • Partner across multiple teams to identify and support comms through the most effective channels; often synthesizing information from multiple sources to identify key messages and themes
  • Manage miscellaneous client demands through concept and product development, to include writing/producing, review, revision, distribution, and evaluation of comms materials.
  • Develop communication plans, timelines, and supporting materials for events, collaborating with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Mentor junior staff

Our Advertising, Marketing, & Commerce offering designs and implements solutions that engage and activate customers through the customer journey.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to work full time (5 days a week) on client site in Huntsville, AL
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of strategic communications experience ideally with a background in government
  • Active Secret Security clearance
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • 3+ years' experience at high-level strategy, hands-on content creation and presenting at executive levels
  • Effective collaborator and mentor, with strong project management abilities
  • Intermediate to advanced PowerPoint skills

Preferred:

  • Previous Consulting experience in Government Public Sector
