Senior Salesforce Data Migration Specialist

Work You'll Do
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Salesforce Data Migration Specialist to lead the conversion and mapping of data from legacy systems to Salesforce. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement solutions to extract, transform, and load legacy data into Salesforce using tools like Talend, SSIS, and Informatica. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legacy data mapping, development, and platform integration, with a focus on ensuring smooth and accurate data migration.
As a Project Delivery Manager on the project, you will:
- Design, develop, and implement efficient ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data from legacy systems into Salesforce.
- Utilize Talend, SSIS, and Informatica to develop scalable, reliable, and optimized ETL solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Ensure ETL solutions handle large data volumes, complex transformations, and error-free migrations.
- Map data from legacy systems to Salesforce by understanding data structures in both legacy platforms and Salesforce.
- Create comprehensive data mapping documents to ensure that data is accurately and efficiently transformed and loaded into the new system.
- Work with business analysts and stakeholders to define data mapping rules and business logic for the migration.
- Perform unit testing, data reconciliation, and post-migration validation to ensure that all data is accurately mapped and transformed.
- Identify and resolve any data quality issues that arise during the migration process, ensuring data integrity.
- Communicate progress, timelines, and challenges to key stakeholders throughout the migration process.
- Engage with business users to confirm that the data transformation and migration meet their reporting and operational requirements.
- Provide ongoing support after data migration to resolve any issues related to data accuracy or integration in Salesforce.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in ETL architecture, data integration, and migration projects.
- Expertise in ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
- Experience in Salesforce data model, objects, and APIs (REST, Bulk, SOAP).
- Experience with ETL tools compatible with Salesforce (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica Cloud, Talend, Salesforce Data Loader).
- Strong understanding of data modeling, relational databases, and cloud data platforms (e.g., Salesforce, AWS, Azure).
- Proven experience with large-scale Salesforce data migrations, including legacy-to-Salesforce transitions.
- Proven experience with large-scale data migrations, including legacy-to-cloud transitions.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 20-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
