Position Summary

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Services, LLC seeks a Senior Cyber Engineer in Dallas, Texas.

Work You'll Do

Serve as point of escalation for the Cyber Engineering Analysts. Provide support to Security Operations Center (SOC) security incident event management (SIEM) deployment in engineering responsibilities. Support the engineering responsibilities of the onboarding of new event sources, data feeds, apps, devices as part of the SOC's SIEM. Responsible for data integrity by the review of all data feeds into the SOC's SIEM. Troubleshoot monitoring alerts from the SIEM infrastructure or SIEM agents, and escalate to L5 Engineers when applicable. Assisting in the testing of vendor patches for all Security applications the Engineering team operational support. Maintaining the SOC Engineering group in Service Now and ensure all request and incident SLA's as met as required by our stakeholders. Support all security applications/tools the SOC Engineering team operational support. Providing excellent customer service as we will be required to interact/work with other teams to complete our daily tasks. Documenting and updating SOC Engineering process procedures and run books. Assisting internal users of the SIEM by designing and maintaining production-quality dashboards/reports. Interacting with the SOC Monitoring team to better understand content needs for tuning and development. Actively seek to improve and develop new content based upon observed security activity.

Requirements

Employer will accept a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Information Systems Technologies, Business Administration or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer; Consultant-related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Information Systems Technologies, Business Administration or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer; Consultant-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following special skills:
  1. Experience in SIEM technologies such as Splunk, ArcSight, IDS/IPS, network- and host- based firewalls, anti-virus software, data leakage protection (DLP), DAM (Database activity monitoring), and IR Tracking tools such as IBM Resilient, Archer, or Service Now.
  2. Experience in Scripting, Python and PowerShell.
  3. Experience in planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures.
  4. Experience in system administration, supporting multiple platforms and applications.
  5. Experience in technologies such as Unix administration, Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Windows Workstation, Routers /Switches management, Firewall Management, SANS/NAS, Web servers, IAM/AAA, System vulnerability scanning tools, application/database vulnerability scanning tools, mobile device analysis, or Secure coding.

Work from home / Telecommuting allowed within commutable distance.

Up to 5% domestic or international travel required.
