Position Summary

Our Deloitte Finance Transformation team practices to help chief financial officers, controllers, and finance teams define and execute their finance and global business services agendas and strategies. You will work with leading-class teams and solutions, helping clients navigate challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we partner with clients to transform finance.

Work You'll Do

As a Project Delivery Specialist within our Finance Transformation - Controllership practice, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative solutions to help our federal client enhance their finance function. You'll collaborate with our federal government client to drive improvements in controllership, financial operations, and reporting processes. In this role, you will:

Support the delivery of finance transformation initiatives focused on optimizing controllership activities, including financial close, reconciliations, and internal/external reporting.

Work with client stakeholders to analyze existing finance processes, identify improvement opportunities, and design future-state solutions aligned with regulatory and operational requirements.

Assist in the implementation of leading practices by leveraging Deloitte's methodologies, tools, and accelerators to support project delivery-ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes for clients.

Gather and document business requirements, map processes, conduct gap analyses, and support change management efforts to enable successful adoption of new controls or technologies.

Contribute to project management activities, such as status reporting, risk tracking, and issue resolution, to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are executed effectively.

Collaborate across cross-functional Deloitte teams, including finance, technology, and risk, to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to client challenges.

Stay current with emerging trends and regulations that impact government finance operations and controllership, contributing insights to both the team and clients.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, embracing Deloitte values of integrity, service, and continuous development.

Our Controllership and Treasury Transformation offering modernizes the finance function to support the evolving business objectives of the organization. We work with the CFO, CAO, controller, and treasurer to develop an efficient, high quality, data-driven, tech-enabled controllership and treasury function that empowers our clients to drive more value to their business partners and to their investors

The Project Delivery Talent Model is designed for professionals with specialized skills that align to a current client need. Team members focus on delivering services to clients, without additional expectations related to business development or promotion. Their employment is tied to their role on a project, and they are eligible for a benefits package that is competitive for project delivery-focused professionals.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA licensure.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Minimum of 15 years supporting federal loan accounting operations, with deep expertise in the Federal Credit Reform Act (FCRA) and Department of Energy Loan Programs.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,900 to $163,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
